Forwards look okay, a top six would be nice, but with Podkolzin on his way, they can get by and give their young guys a chance this season. maybe add a cheap forward after the frenzy. Bigger needs are in purple. Defence needs a top four at least Stecher’s quality but hopefully better and Demko needs a partner if not Marky then someone cheap.

I think Virtanen starts with Pettersson and wouldn't mind Benn getting a fair shot on the right side if they don't add anybody. I thought he looked decent there the few times he was and, I may be wrong on this, but he played extensively and quite well on the right side in Montreal. Green needs to have a more open mind with guys playing their off sides or off wings. Didn't Virtanen play some left wing in junior?
