Agree or Disagree...the Canucks have the worst ads in hockey

Post by JamesOwnzSam11 »

I just cannot stand those Radio or TV ads....the narrator is awful.

"We are all Canucks"

" Oh...to be there"

and so on....

Disagree

Post by Nucksfan10 »

I disagree. I am a fan of the ads. The whole point is to get you into the mood for hockey season, its a simple reminder that whether they win or lose they are still our team. It may sound a little cheezy but if any of you have followed this team for any amount of time sometimes the cheezy stuff works. Just my opinion.
It was all about the Russian Rocket.....there i said it

I've never heard them, seeing as I'm in Ontario, but I will agree on worse uniforms.

I agree - this year's ads are pure cheese.

I guess they can't play up the excitement card as the advertising guys did last year when the expectations were that much higher. Hard to make D-fence sound sexy.

Last year's concept was great, but the pictures of the players were terrible. Instead of having them look up, have them look straight or down. It's almost as if we're always looking up at Calgary or something...

A monkey could run the marketing department for the Canucks and they would still sell out and have a waiting list.

I don't have anything to compare it to, so I can't say it's the worst, but I will say they're terrible.

I agree they are terrible, from an objective standpoint. But seeing as how the internet is anonymous, I will admit that I get shivers everytime I see it.

And while I'm getting things off my chest, I liked Mambo #5 when it came out.

AAAAA I feel so liberated.

They aren't trying to get you to LIKE the Canucks, they're trying to remind you that hockey's back. =)
