I TOLD you that Carter wouldn't be a Canuck. Watch him not even get 33 points next year, let alone 33 goals.

TSN Article

I stand corrected now that he's signed.

Really that did not work out for Carter.

He didn't get his multi-year deal for $3 mil per year. He gets a decent rate for this year but doesn't put himself into near the quality situation he could have put himself into for a bit less per year.

Uh, no. Until he signed, he was still techincally available. Nonis could have still made a pitch for him if he could have made the cap work.

There's no arguing with that.

And with that, that's my last comment on this issue.

Anyway, Carter is going to regret this. Sure he got more money, but he's going to get less next year when his point production goes through the floor.

Oh well.

AS most of us already knew he wasn't coming back ( Kowch exclude ) the only surprise was where he ended up. I have always expected him to land somewhere where there is a thriving entertainment industry as he seems to be involving himself more and more in that direction. Hey maybe I'm wrong but somehow Columbus doesn't jump out as an entertainment mecca. Oh well ,good luck, I hope the Pauser is wrong and you do score a bunch, however I don't think you will.

Should be interesting to see what he does there. But this sounds like a desperation move done by both parties.

Uh I think Carter has potential to rally up the points this year.

He is more than likely a top line player for Columbus which means POINTS... he is a good player. I guess we'll see him against the Canucks this year and see how he does. He is a very dangerous scoring threat.

well with all the kesler nonsense goin on... i thought just maybe... just a tiny bit... we could take another crack at Carter. So i guess he didnt get the kind of deal he wanted, which is really setting up his next contract based on how he produces this year. too bad... i really enjoyed him being on the team, and he was one of the very few positive stories to come from this team last year

and now we dont have a "token black guy" lol

Carter is likely to play with Fedorov or Zherdev (if they get him signed) --- or maybe even one Gilbert Brule...!!!

Wouldn't that be something if Anson potted 30 goals alongside Brule?

I just noticed something realy eerie about Anson Carter's stat sheet.

Last season he had 33 goals and 22 assists.

33 and 22. Who assisted on all of his goals? That's right, nos. 33 and 22 in your program!

Karma wanted him to re-sign! ;)
