Shout out to my good buddy Doc Strangelove knowing full well how emotional you get with THE MAPLE LEAF... thoughts and prayers are with you my friend the day after
PEACE... AND... LOVE...
Hey buds, it's all good, I need the Leaves to win a few games so they end up... just... missing the playoffs.
Remember, if they end up with a pick in the top 10 they get to keep it... and we wouldn't want that.
Also, I've been incommunicado for a few days so I missed the game... THANK GOD
I think someone said it elsewhere already, but Toronto was not a good looking team last night. They looked like they belong where they are in the standings, and perhaps even are over-achieving because of a few undeserved OT points and some truly stellar goaltending by Andersen.
Vancouver honestly sits in the same boat as them. Our hot October start belies the actual quality of this team.
Our defensive game is better, and our blueline more responsible, but the Leaves have a much stronger attack out of their top-6.
Goaltending is better in Toronto.....but only in the regular season.
Frankly, if the Canucks and Leaves were to meet in a playoff series following an 82 game season I like our chances alot better after what I saw last night simply because after 82 games Red Head Fred is going to be shell-shocked and ready for a break, our defense is better suited for the playoff grind game, and we have two goaltenders who can win games, which means that our starter won't be ready for his summer holiday when there is still a need to play .571 hockey for another 2 months.
Toronto was trash in the 3rd period, I can see whey they were the worst besides Detroit at closing games.
They lucky the Canucks weren't on point in scoring, the Canucks are very streaky this season - actually one of the highest scoring teams no? top 5 iirc.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

now I try and write maple leaves and look what happens. You try it! I typed L.e.a.fs. without the dots. My spell check is off. How did olpaddy do it?
There is a way to find out but I have to look deep into inner codes.
I've tested the word elsewhere. Just a glitch I guess.

Nothing but excuses LOL.
What excuses? Anderson stole the game for Toronto. It isn’t an excuse it’s a fact. Vancouver stunk but they were still the better team on the night.
Your goalie is a part of your team. The better team won. All you guys dop in here is shit on Andersen, so spare me how suddenly you think he's great for this argument.

We've always been clear on this, he's dandy in mean-nothing games and chokes in the big ones...
