But, as shown, it wasn't a silly post.

Face it, your Benning-hatred as turned you into a Canuck hater.

Twas inevitable, as it's Jimmy's team...
Cool story. Still my team even if they are poorly managed.
Poorly managed? How so? They seem to be doing just fine.
Facts only benning haters would suggest that. I mean how in the world do we have more points than the Ducks, Oilers, Rangers, Sabres, Devils and Kings, while on the rebuild.

And now we got the core in place Petey/Boeser/Horvat/Hughes/Demko with blue chip prospects and youthful players with upside on the way.
Lol objectivity is a swear word among the sheep
Results don't matter to most it seems, all that matters is that it 'feels' like they are doing well.
And yet 24 minutes later....

Diehard1 wrote: Thu May 16, 2019 1:30 pm I expect Brock to get $7 million + this year, then Petey $10 million +, and Quinn likely the same.
So it feels to Diehard like we have a few superstars on our hands. :D
Ha - nice try, even your most ardent disciple here will say this is a stretch. I do love that you’re using the feels now, feels great when somebody takes my idea. I don’t mind, happy to contribute any way I can. :D

If you expect EP and Hughes to be elite.

why not expose that for two years? while the cap hits are cheap?

Best teams win in those years.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Goldy and Fin for Lindsey Vonn.

They can keep country music and PK.

Vonn landed on the Tiger rebound ends up with PK.

There's no going back.

Time to let go of the cheeseburgers buddy
What am I not on board with exactly?
The future...its not that bad now.

Nooooomsayin noomsayin
No it isn’t that bad. I didn’t say it was. I LOLd at SKYO’s post because he was proclaiming this future top 4 Stanley Cup D that has a grand total of 5 games NHL experience. Furthermore one of his magic D men hasn’t even been drafted yet. It was an easy post to pound holes in. Prospects click at about a 30 % rate if you’re lucky.

Great we have a core 4. We need 4 more.
Yep exactly - why is it a bad thing to like some aspects of what Jimbo has done (drafting) yet criticize others (trades and signings)? I feel like a broken record but it’s simply the truth. The kool-aid drinkers around here love the narrative of constant Jimbo bashing while ignoring anything positive said. I guess some like playing the victim card.

Keep drafting, get more picks if you can, don’t sign shitty players to long term contracts, stay the course. It’s working, very slowly, but it’s working.

The team had Hughes for 5 games, so winning 22 is pretty dope.

This clearly indicates how the Canucks have been coming out of the gate,
;https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/ ... ional.html

Lucky to even have 22 regulation wins with first periods like that.

So why is this?

Lack of leadership in the dressing room, meaning no rah-rah, let's go get em boys stuff?

Afraid of doing something the coach will be mad at?

Let'a let the other guys burn themselves out early, (that is just sarcasm).

Better firsts and we"d a had a go at her, (playoffs), maybe, probably.

Or maybe this past year was supposed to be a learning process.

I'm sick of school now. I wanna rock.

I don’t mind Ritchie but why do the Ducks do this? He scored at a decent clip last year and is on a cheap deal.

Because the d couldnt move the puck the forwards. They spent at least 60-70% of last season hemmed in their own end trying to get the puck out

Until Hughes arrived they had by far the worst group of dmen in the league.
