Boston knows game 1 means fuck all. Its their signature move

Same as Pittsburgh. Both classically take a couple games to get any traction in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh is playing a team severely lacking in talent. Boston is not.

Columbus is playing a team that is overloaded with talent. They are up 2-0.

This is the NHL Playoffs, it's more about HOW you play than it is about WHO you play.

And as for lacking talent. Barzal, Bailey, Eberle, Nelson, Lee, and Pulock, aren't exactly devoid of talent. Pittsburgh certainly has more firepower in Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Letang, and Guentzel.....but it's in how they are playing.

Both Columbus and New York are playing lunch bucket brigade games. They are giving no quarter from top to bottom and nullifying a good chunk of the skill they are facing by giving no space and hitting fast and hard.

Boston can do that, they usually do.....but Boston also has more talent than Columbus and New York.

Columbus is firing on all cylinders and playing playoff hockey, so far Tampa is not.

My brother pointed out to me this evening that last year Columbus went up 2-0 on the Caps and then lost in 6. True story. Last year though their wins came against the run of the play, they got bounces. This year they are controlling the play and setting the tempo.
