There wasnt even a brief moment in this game where we were competitive with the caps. Men vs boys.

The most crushing loss so far

Brilliant penalties aside, we just lost to a much better team. A good measuring stick for the kids tonight.

Tough goal early, then another late one in the 2nd and it was over.

Good learning experiences

And without Pettersson we really didn't have the depth to put up a good fight.

No wonder Green uses Ericsson in shut down role, because plays and puck just die on his stick LOL

There are going to be more nights like this. It's not a surprise.

We're not competitive with the top-tier teams yet, but at least both the vets and kids are competing in every game.

Not invested from the start. Horrid game.
Piss poor skate out song. Techno-babble shit!!!
Don't like that Anthem singer. She doesn't let the fans sing it right.
Wasn't "all" troy's fault, :drink: he wasn't the worst.
Can't just say we lost to the best when we didn't even come close to trying ours.
Totally got what we the team deserved.
Green's motto; smile at the ref, that'll show him your pissed  rookie sophomore crap coaching.

BIG STEP BACKWARDS.

Agreed. The Caps just won the Stanley Cup and the Canucks are in the middle of a rebuild. At least, the Canucks are going the right direction.

Stecher tried hard but his mistakes were costly. One bad pinch allowed the Caps to score first and one bad penalty that killed the Canucks' chance of coming back.

I liked the game, sure we lost but they fault hard. Missing a top guy on the team so there is that.

LE has to go, just go.

Send him to the minors (as if) and make room for someone else, but since that won’t happen sit him out a game or 3.

I sure hope Woo turns into a d man because with only Hughes in the system that seems top 2 this team is solely lacking some consistency back there. Tanev is good but not the offensive guy needed, Edler is ok but not playing top minutes and not on the PP. the rest can take a 1 way trip anywhere.

I just want to see progress every game and go for Hughes 2 on draft day.

Wonder if this game would have been any different if Beagle was in?
Doubt it.
"Ovetchkin had all day to do whatever he wanted". All day.
Just finished watching the TV version.
Ya, I was at this one. One of 4 for the year.
The Cap's bench was way more chatty and engaged than the Canuck's.
They must have a way of dubbing in crowd noise for TV.
That's a joke, I know they do.
I estimate 10,000 at best.
The general presentation is seriously deteriorating IMHO.
Parking was a piece of cake though. Easy in, easy out. Go figure.

Stetcher is big liability. Tiny non defensive-non offensive dmen have no place on an NHL blueline

The whole bottom 4 of the back end is a liability no matter who they dress. Most teams have a top 4 D. This team has a bottom 4 D. They are completely devoid of a middlr pair of d men to make them competitive over 82 games. Stecher is no better or worse than Gudbranson. Hutton is no better or worse than Pouliott. All four shouldn’t be playing more than about fifteen minutes a noght
