Nice to see youth being served and guys get rewarded. Everyone knew Petersson was going to score, but Goldobin, Motte, Leipsic and Virtanen getting off to quick starts is awesome. A little confidence for some of these guys could go a long ways for them this season.
Trying to keep it in perspective though....Calgary sucked ass and still had us hemmed in our own zone for well over half that game.
Still...the kids took their chances to the bank
Some of that is the Canucks sitting back with the lead.

Patrik Laine on Vancouver’s decision to ban video games on the road: “They need something to blame after last year.” #NHLJets

Laine went on to say that the players amongst the #NHLJets have agreed that if they start playing like that (Vancouver) they will stop taking their Playstations on the road.

Savage... this is what we have become a fucking punchline its embarrassing...
That is hilarious

If I was Laine waking up in Winnipeg everyday I’d hate Vancouver too

It's pro sports. It's going to be cyclic. Every team becomes a punchline.

No need to get cocky. If Laine and the Jets under-performs, his precious Xbox will get the ban too.

It’s personality. I love it. I used to like Roenick, Chelios and Hull too. Ovechkin has it in spades

canucks should put that on their motivation board tbh.

Roussel is nearing return, he will accompany the team on the 6 game road trip, however this poses a problem as the only waiver free players we have is Pettersson and Boeser LOL easily our best players now.
Antoine Roussel skating with his Canucks teammates today. A roster move will be required to activate him off Injured Reserve. Only two players on the current 23-man roster are waivers-exempt: Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser.
I wonder if someone can just be a healthy scratch? or is the team at max roster space limit when Roussel returns.

Waive Schaller. Or send Boeser down to get into shape.

Looks like Guddy done some facial damage to Hamonic. Flames recall Rasmus Andersson to fill in.

Methinks the Flamers will try to dress Prout and try to play a bit more physical in their home opener. Tkachuk will probably amp up his stupidity even more.

Canucks better be prepared for a rougher match. Protect the golden-haired saviours!

You have to respect Hamonic for stepping up but it was foolhardy. He’s not a fighter to begin with but taking on Gudbranson.

The Flames would have been better served waiting until Saturday to address it. I expect the Flames will target all our D. When we face a team with a physical, tenacious forecheck we fold. That should be their play anyway.

But if they want to send an early season message it should be fun.

Actually, I don't think they can goon up to us anymore. ;)

But they will have to try, wont they?

Well at least Guddy was honest about it all, even respected hamonic for what he did, but hamonic was out of his weight class.

biega would clear, but doesn't the team want to keep 8 dmen all season? thanks to injury woes.

Torts has his pvr set.

Bountiful has reports Prout plays, Rasmus sits.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
