$8M per season (in each of the first 3 seasons) for a dinosaur!
Whoooooooaaaaaaa Doctah..... Dion Phaneuf to Ottawa salary Cap space cleared??? No Captain to be named this year???? Makes you wonder who is going to be the next Leaf Captain... I gotta good guess could it be Little Stevie Stamkos....
Hey Doc shoud I ll just go ahead and put that C on the 91 jersey that you crave so much.... TSN's Bob Mckenzie dropped Stamkos and Austin Mathews in the same sentence... Funny I dropped that on u in October..... But I digress...
WHHHHHHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAH DOCTAHHHHHHHH
Ahhhh, and the Leaves tried so hard last night:
Ahhhh, I heard Canadian Tire had already printed up 68 million of these:https://twitter.com/simmonssteve/status ... 0476510208
SOURCES: Maple leaves met with Steven Stamkos at MLSE headquarters Tuesday. Also present: Toronto Mayor John Tory and CEO of Canadian Tire.
But hey, Leaves could still sign Hudler or someone like that to be their captain!

I *wonder where Nylander will end up - cap constraints.
Matthews will want around $11M per and Marner won't want to be that far behind either.

I hate John Tavares.
It's weird, I never realized how evil he is until today.

Nylander is staying. If he's ever moved it'll be for a very good young D.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
leaves should have one of the deepest C’s in the league. They’ll be entertaining as hell to watch. But if they don’t sort out their D, I’m not sure they’ll be any better come playoff time.
Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Hate is such a strong word U don't Hate the player Doc, In fact this is PERFECT scenario maybe Vancouver can make a deal with the MAPLE LEAF like U want them to make afterall... Isn't that what U want for the Canucks to make a deal and get a great Player that the MAPLE LEAF will have to part with for a D MAN the likes of Chris Tanev... Coulda sworn u proposed that hmmmmm interesting U would assume that this green lights the MAPLE LEAF to look to move on from a high ticket itemStrangelove wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 2:22 pm I hate John Tavares.

Its a WIN WIN for everybody DOC... U and the MAPLE LEAF UNLESS u don't want to make that.... nah HAPPY CANADA DAY

One of? They are the best. Kadri has scored 30+ the last 2 years and he's the #3 C...Island Nucklehead wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 3:10 pm leaves should have one of the deepest C’s in the league. At least Tavares can golf in his home province.

leaves had the 3rd best GA in the East last season. Better than Tampa, Are you aware of that?Reefer2 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 7:45 pmStill no goalie or defence.BigTuna wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 6:58 pmOne of? They are the best. ... and 12th best in the league.
Yes, if he had 10 times as many votes he could've been 2nd!
(ludicrous that he received more votes than Fleury, Bobrovsky, Rask, Gibson, and Quick btw)
(Luongo was much better than him as well, but he spent too much time on the shelf to get the votes)
And then, once again, of course, Mr Andersen was utter crap in the playoffs...

That's bad? Why is it not brought up about Tampa?Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:18 pm... and 12th best in the league.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
The leaves are going to be fun to watch and their PP will be death on skates. Fun but the critics have it right about their D. Without that strong blue line the games will turn into shootouts. A lot of fun to watch but not a recipe for the Cup. They are getting there however and if they bring the Cup home I will cheer for them.
I do have to wonder what on earth they are going to do with their salary. Big problems down the road, much like the Coil
