Spoken like a true Canucks fan who has been let down so many times in the past... I gotta agree, though. Kid looks great, there are just so many promising things in Canuckland right now... but.... I'm a Canucks fan, so I temper my expectations.Ronning's Ghost wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:26 pm I'm excited about Elias Pettersson's potential, too, but am I really being that ultra-conservative in asking to see him play an NHL game (let alone a season) before declaring him the first-line centre that the Canucks will need to build around?

@mattsekeres: My information is (the #Canucks) have been the most active team calling on the trade market. They are looking to make deals and the #7 pick, in the right package, is in play

2 season, 1season does not make or break a player.Cornuck wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:30 pmSpoken like a true Canucks fan who has been let down so many times in the past... I gotta agree, though. Everything is in play and good on Jim for kicking tires but it is really going to be hard to replace the quality player at 7 - not . I think a lot of scenarios are set for Jim once he is on the floor. If Boquivist keeps dropping or Ty Smith is available for a trade down Plus pick it makes sense to me, not a fan of trading assets to go up *cause we have no assets! - my pipe dream is trading Tanev to get a d first round and grabbing Wahlstrom at 7...dream young man dream!!Strangelove wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 6:22 pmhttps://twitter.com/TSN1040/status/1006312193883885568

RG - I hear you about EP - best thing about EP is he is so freaking focused on learning and improving his skill and hockey IQ - his mindset is all hockey and 100% dialed in every week, this kid doesn’t waste a day.

Lol if that pick is in play Aquilini will swoop in and yank it off the table like a good owner shouldStrangelove wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 6:22 pmhttps://twitter.com/TSN1040/status/1006312193883885568

Are you kidding! Aquilini is the one that gets the giant hardon for big splashy names. But you know that.

Apparently Boston is now inquiring about Vancouver's 7th over all pick.
That's all there is to it so far. (That I've seen).
No surprise, Benning is said to be one of the busiest on the phone right now.
Many will say that's great, and I suppose it is, but there's a warning that accompanies.
High first round pick + Substantial cap space + A market avid for a big name = Garbage dump !
So, sure, lots of calls. Jims been around. He'll weed through all this. Hopefully something really good will pop up.
There might actually be something to Nashville thinking of moving PKS but even if there is, do you want that much invested in one player
and do you want that much personality in one player.
Until July, I would think it will require a dump truck to carry all the rumors involving the Canucks...

PK obviously has some “room” issues with players why else does every team want to trade him. He’s talented and great in the community ...what am I missing?!
I’m happy Jim is active - that’s his job, I think he and Linden have been getting better year by year as two upper management rookies. I can’t see them make a Louis Errorickson signing again.
Interesting days.....and he’ll no to Lucic.

If the fit is right, ie a top 4 dman under 24 yrs old, I’m all for it. But for all the talk I highly doubt anything is gonna happen. I can’t wait for Brady tkachuk to suit up next year and beat the shit out of his brother.

I think this is what management might be thinking for next season if they swap the 1st for noah.
HANIFIN - TANEV
EDLER - STECHER
MDZ - GUDBRANSON
