The Bubbles Hargraves and Chef Dud review every GM move thread

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Lucic is on a 44 point pace over 82 games.

Eriksson is on a 35 point pace over 82 games.

Eriksson is an elite penalty killer who plays a 200 foot game.

Lucic not.
Lucic recently slipped below that level.
WTF??

Lucic has 2 points in his last 10 games, Eriksson has 1.

But what has "slipping recently" got to do with anything...
Blob Mckenzie wrote: Fri Feb 16, 2018 6:41 pm Erikssons totals are lifted by EN goals.
WTF??

NEWSFLASH: EN goals count too!

FFS the guy has 2 EN goals, a drop in the bucket as to the point totals we are discussing.

Loui is out there when the other team has the extra attacker because he is one of the best shutdown guys in the biz!

Lucic not.
Blob Mckenzie wrote: Fri Feb 16, 2018 6:41 pm Lucic plays a heavy game and is an intimidating presence. Eriksson plays as though he was 140 pounds and is often terrified of contact.
Agree about Lucic having become a ridiculously overpaid goon but

... Eriksson "terrified"? Image

I didn’t realize that they were buying Gaborik out.

Well there's been a lot of talk about the possibility.

Also the guy is 36 and has been unable to suit up for one-third of his games over the past 6 seasons

... so there's been a lot of speculation about him ending up Prongered.

(which, as I suggested, would save the Sens even more real dollars than a buyout)

Andrew Ladd - 7 year $5.5 million contract. 9 goals 12 assists 32 years old

I just want to hear one of you teabaggers finally say that veteran UFA contracts like the one given to Eriksson are a common occurrence in the NHL and not an invention patented by JimBro Benning

Lol I didn’t say he invented bad contracts but a team in this stage of its its rebuild has no need for grossly overpaid thieves like Eriksson. Vanek on the other hand was a brilliant signing.

If Treliving signed Eriksson to that contract Blobby would be singing his praises.

All the Oiler fans and media in Edmonton hate the Lucic contract (5 years left after this year) but Blobby likes it.

Blobby loves Troy (3 goals 12 assists) Brouwer 4 year $18 million contract

Blobby loves Kris Russell's 4 year $16 million contract

Regarding Bubbles - love in for Puljiarvi/hate-in for Juolevi, Puljiarvi has 1 goal 3 assists in the calender year of 2018. We are closing in on March.

But apparently Treliving and Chiarelli are excellent GMs?
