Don't mention the bumps. Dude will have flames on his tires to go hook up with Rosie Rottencrotch for a flap of bump at the American.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

This story is one of sadness,
This guy is from Oz, not Kansas.
His brains are moosh,
He just hears whoosh,
It sucks to have Reefer madness!

Coyotes Acquire Demers from Florida in Exchange for McGinn

Wasn't this the guy Benning tried getting this summer but Demers refused to waive?

Yep. Demers had an 8-team no-trade list. The Canucks were on it and he refused to come.

Either Arizona was on it and he waived, or they weren't and the Panthers pulled the trigger.

Weird trade. They trade a 29 yr old D-man for a 29 year old 4th line grinder. They musta been in a hurry to dump Demers. There is an interesting story here somewhere. OK, less interesting every day we get closer to the start of the season :)

The sad part of this whole thing is that Arizona is seen as a more desirable place to play than Vancouver, and if the rumors were true and it was Gud going the other way I would have happily done that trade.

GMs should start putting Chayka's number on call block because he's bending them all over.

Arizona has a good young team and a lot of good young prospects. Vancouver has neither. It's getting better but has a ways to go yet.

Arizona has great weather. Vancouver has terrible weather.

The management..... Well let's just say Chayka has been doing a bang up job.

I can't imagine Gudbranson being too thrilled about the fact Elmer tried to ditch him 30 games after he acquired him. I can't see him re signing here barring an overpayment

blob would hate the Pierre-Olivier Joseph pick though, passing up on Vesalainen, Poehling and Tolvanen.

Demers isn't anything special, avg skating dman who can rack up 5-7 goals, 15-17 assists per season.

I'd rather have behemoth who can slug it out when needed Guds, as this team is a pushover for the most part.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

3. No background information at all.

Perhaps Sbisa shtuppt'd demers wife (or daughter) (or dog)..
perhaps he got herpes here one time from a hooker..
perhaps Dorsett beat him up once
Perhaps Ripper haunts him..
Who the hell knows why he didn't want to come here. Could have been anything.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.
