My name is Cherry Picker and before I return to Canucks Central, I'd like to come clean. I have a record and a dark and nasty past.
I was recently banned from HF boards for repeatedly saying, "We are all Jim Benning" at the end of my posts.
They said I was trolling. Look at my Avatar, does that look like the face of a troll.
Now, my intention is to find a non-communist, totalitarian place in this world where a person can aspire for a people to be any other person he or she dreams they can be. If that's a problem, please let me know?
Secondly, as we last talked about here at Canuck Central, we need more assholes on the team. I think this conversation has been going on for a while. Something must be done.
Thirdly, can someone let me know if I can say asshole before I say it. HF Boards has me spooked. It's kind of a cross between the KGB and a residential school.
Thirdly plus another one, the defense is great. Stop worrying so much. There see I was talking about hockey so get off my back.
Thirdly plus another one, "We are all Jim Benning."

I'm eagerly anticipating responses to my post. I think it's the best one I've made here all year.
Am I banned yet?
What we have here is Personality. Colourful. A veteran, tactarian peruser of the message board phenomenon

Hey, I didn't come here for any trouble Royaldude, but it kind of sounds like you are calling me a puseyite...just step off dude, just...step....off.
Besides, I'm more of an obstreperous bacchanal.

Zalewski is a great signing. I won't be surprised if he ends up out-playing Granlund and Gaunce this year. This has me wondering if there is any other decent forward depth in Utica that can be recalled if there are injuries besides Zalewski and Gaunce? Can't think of any of the top of my head.

Hey guys I've lurked on here for awhile, thought I'd start posting, I liked cp's posts on that other crap forum, so figured I better make an account here. Plus this place is so much more colourful and entertaining.

For call-ups JB recently signed:

- 24 yr old 6'2 C Michael Chaput (energy, checking depth guy from Columbus).

- another 24 yr old 6'2 "scorer" RW Borna Rendulic from the Avs.

as you mentioned:

- yet another 24 year old, big guy 6'5 RW Alexandre Grenier who has scored decently in Utica.

- 23 year old 6'2 LW checker/scorer Michael Zalewski.

Then we got our young guns who are ready in Brendan Gaunce (who imo can play anywhere up front #versatile) and another c/w Cole Cassels (who hopefully is healed up from his injuries)

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if Jayson Megna, Yan-Pavel Laplante, Rodrigo Abols get a few NHL games for experience.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I actually noticed Cherry Picker on the main boards over there!

I just scan once in awhile... but how could one miss "We are all Jim Benning"!

I just went looking for him over there again and yeah

... he's been pretty much obliterated, just as I thought:

Unless you spew hate and want to continually suck like Toronto will for the foreseeable future it's very difficult to read that other board. Of course I'm extremely biased

Yup, definitely, 99% of them have lost the plot over there, the Corner is a nice refuge from the madness.

I was just noting that, at least when someone is banned from here... their posts remain for all eternity! :D

Funny you would mention that, why just this morning I was thinking of banning myself for going off topic. :sly:

I notice you come here to bitch about the place for a few days every two years or so.

For your information... you.. are the kinda guy who usually gets banned from here. 8-)

Strange world eh Knucklehead?

purging posts is known to cause nervous breakdowns
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I thought nervous breakdowns cause folks to purge posts? :?

Hmmm, perhaps a chicken/egg-dilemma is Central to the issue.

Speaking of "issues" + "nervous breakdowns"... we are way off-topic!!

... we wouldn't want our pal Knucklehead to go off the deep end.

Would we? :look:

No, no... of course not!

Should I therefore change the title of the thread to: Knuckleheads and Summertime Madness?
