Cory Schneider returns to Vancouver
Panic in Vancouver (apologies to the thin white duke)
DEVILS (9-9-3) at CANUCKS (14-6-1)
TV: SNP
Season series: This is the first of two games between the New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Canucks this season. The Canucks won both games against the Devils in 2013-14, a 3-2 overtime win on Oct. 8 and a 3-2 shootout win on Oct. 24. Henrik and Daniel Sedin each had three points in two games.
Devils team scope: Despite trailing the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders atop the Metropolitan Division, the Devils are one point out of third place. But New Jersey did itself no favors against the Calgary Flames on Saturday, losing 5-4 in a shootout after having three separate two-goal leads and giving up the game-tying goal with five seconds remaining in regulation. The Devils are 1-1-1 on their road trip to Western Canada, with the final stop being Vancouver. Goalie Cory Schneider will be back in net on Tuesday to face his old teammates after getting his first night off of the season against the Flames. Coach Peter DeBoer may also make a change on the blue line. Defenseman Eric Gelinas said he expects to be taken out Tuesday in favor of Peter Harrold, who skated with Marek Zidlicky in practice on Monday, though DeBoer told the media he would "sleep on it."
Canucks team scope: Tuesday will be the first time Vancouver plays since the passing of Pat Quinn, a significant figure in Canucks history as the architect of their 1994 Western Conference championship team, which he both coached and built as president and general manager. "[Quinn] was responsible for bringing hockey to the forefront in Vancouver," Canucks president Trevor Linden said. "He brought the pride back to the Canucks and today his finger prints and impact are still felt within this organization." The Canucks will be playing their last game at home before embarking on a seven-game road trip that could prove pivotal as they fight for first place in the Pacific Division. Vancouver has won 10 of its plast 14 games and could get forward Alexandre Burrows back Tuesday. Burrows, who has missed two games with an upper-body injury, practiced Monday. Defenseman Dan Hamhuis (lower body) did not practice.

Horvat scores two goals in the first, Schneider leaves the game early in the second with "leg cramps" due to "dehydration" after refusing to drink from his water bottle (thanks to a persistent fear that the beverages provided to him in Rogers Arena will introduce a foreign substance into his precious bodily fluids)..

Also, the guy taken three picks after Alexandre Mallet is in the lineup for the Devils tonight. 6'2 205 lb 20 year old right shooting defenseman, good thing we don't need a player like that..

Jannik attacks Panic, breaks away from the critics and continues to convert on scoring chances like a first liner. Do a little Drance, make a little luck, get down tonight.
Bo knows... he's here to stay! Will faceoff against the NHL's best for the rest of the season. Carries a giant chip against the Devils for trading him
Win for Quinn.

From the GreenMen FB page:
Jaromir Jagr and the Devils play Bo Horvat and the Canucks tonight. When Horvat was born, Jagr had already won two Stanley Cups

Still thinking the panic attack rumours were part of Docs thinly veiled homer reinforcement strategy.
That and the whole hollow earth thing...not to mention Radon gas in Lethbridge
Still haven't gone down in the basement

Is CS the fatted calf for the prodigal son?
A sacrificial lamb in headlights offered to the gawds for Quinn's safe journey across the river Styx.

So with Burrows playing tonight does Bo sit
Edit:
Burrows in, Vey sits. Seems like Vey will be the replacement player when offence is needed but not at centre.

If that didn't bring a tear or two nothing will. Wow what a simple but tremendous tribute to Mr Quinn.
