Sabers Buy Out Ehrhoff

Re: Sabers Buy Out Ehrhoff
Can look at it like looking in the past, but we do need a right side QB and at 32 he's still playing at high level for at least another 4-5 years, be better than Dan Boyle!
But with the Sabres tanking for McDavid one wonders if they still move Myers?

Uh didn't they just change the lottery format last week for next years draft? All non playoff teams will have the same chance of winning the lottery? I may have read it wrong. If true, it would make tanking meaningless unless they are trying to avoid making the playoffs, in which is a given

From what I understand the team with the worst record next season (the Mc/Eichel draft) is guaranteed a top 2 pick. i.e. they can only drop one spot. I think the following year after the generational draft is where there are more drastic changes.RoyalDude wrote:Uh didn't they just change the lottery format last week for next years draft? The Erhoff of 2011 was soft. There's no doubt he was a steady producer on the score sheet, but I don't think it's going to happen for that reason alone.RoyalDude wrote:Again, Canuck fans are obsessed with going backwards. I'd be all in if its a short term contract considering his age, like 2 years max. Just don't see that happening. Also the Erhoff now is nit the Erhoff of 2011

Is Bryan Allen also available?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Sign Jovo, Salo, Mitchell and Ehrhoff. Get the band back together!!

I'd be all-in on Kelly Hrudey as a mentor/back up for Eddie Lack. It's the "Medicine Hat Model."herb wrote:Sign Jovo, Salo, Mitchell and Ehrhoff. Get the band back together!!

HW say it aint so... You are a voice of reason therefore you should know betterHockey Widow wrote:Tough call on Ehrhoff. Picking him up would go against everything the Canucks are trying to do. He doesn't make them younger. He doesn't make them harder to play against. He does add skill and offence. Given that they are banking on Edler to be their go to guy on defence, yes, Ehrhoff would assist in that but at the cost of Tanev? They also project Sbisa to be in the top 4 in the next year or two.
They could make room for him roster wise by moving one of Stanton or Corrado, both of whom are younger. Hard call, I see merits either way.
Ehroff? really, cause he holds the answer to the Edler Riddle? Can somebody please explain, how in the Hell, Alex Edler, had his best season ever, the year Ehroff was cashing in his 1st season in Buffalo? Like this guy is the answer... side note who was Edler's partner the yr. after we went to the finals??? Salo? Are we bringing him Back? given Edler's numbers that yr...
If sister Christian NEVER played here would people want too spend 6 large and a NTC or No Move clause to get him to come here? Enough...

Some players just click with certain teams imho, Hoffer suits the Canucks to a T.

Yeah even on a bottom feeder/train wreck of a team Hoffer played well, he'd probably be excited to come back here and be on a team that is said to want to compete asap.

Bieksa doesn't like Erhoff, he probably would give him the Fedor Federov treatment if he came back after he loses his nut against Kesler for lying to him about asking for a trade
