So rumblings out of TO are that if the leaves miss the playoffs one or both of Carlyle and Nonis could be fired. Wouldn't' it be funny to see Nonis end up in Calgary. Sense a theme?

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Has anyone heard if Ahti Oksanen has signed with anyone... i haven't been able to find any new updates on him?

Folin signs with the Wild
Craig Custance @CraigCustance 34m
Wild have agreed to terms with college UFA defenseman Christian Folin (UMass-Lowell). Was most coveted college UFA on the market.
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Makes sense. If I was a defenseman looking to earn an NHL salary as soon as possible without having to play for a laughingstock, the Wild (whose big offseason blueline acquisitions were Keith Ballard and Jonathon Blum) would seem like an ideal match.Benjo wrote:Folin signs with the Wild

BB ready to announce his new GM.
Bob McKenzie is reporting that Flames President BB has completed his search for a new GM and will hire Coyotes Asst GM Brad Treliving.
Not an exhaustive search. Some rumours say his main target.

Based on what I've read about him, that sounds like a very good choice.Hockey Widow wrote:Bob McKenzie is reporting that Flames President BB has completed his search for a new GM and will hire Coyotes Asst GM Brad Treliving.

Doesn't the picture below exemplifies #WINNING and #LEADERSHIP?Forwards Dustin Brown of the Los Angeles Kings, Ryan Getzlaf of the Anaheim Ducks and Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks are the three finalists for the 2013-14 Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award For Excellence In Award-Worthy Leadership And Other Stuff That’s Sponsored By A Tire Company.
This award is given to “the player who exemplifies great leadership qualities to his team, on and off the ice, during the regular season”; you know, stuff that’s already covered by the Hart Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award and the NHL Foundation Player Award and various other postseason trinkets. But this one has 100 percent more Mark Messier.

Good for them not making him a lame duck coach. Surprised no changes there though. Aren't the assistant coaches left overs from the Wilson days?
