2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Post by SKYO »

Sans the Canucks.

Anyways as I type this Vanek, whom some of you don't want , just scored a beauty goal to take the lead vs the Lightning.

And then Stamkos gets it back.

It hurts more than I thought it would to not have the Canucks in the playoffs.
The only HW the Canucks need

Opening day for the playoffs was a beauty. All one goal games and OT needed for TB/MTL.

I love playoff hockey, and to be perfectly honest, I'm finding it much more enjoyable sans Vancouver.....less stress.

Lucic scored too, but they didn't count it.

I'm seriously beginning to question whether the NHL should be handing out suspensions for such cut and dry attempts to injure.

Well if they did perhaps players would think twice, esp in the dance.

Should be a suspension, but it won't be. League is a joke.

He recently did the same thing to Emelin, got caught on video, laughed about in the post game media scrum...almost like he knows his owner runs the league. Almost.

Some true BS from the Bruins tonight. Glad the Wings got it done, and on a beauty by the Datsyukian one.

Howard looked shaky, Rask looked poised.

Detroit will only pull this off if they can maintain the puck possession game we saw tonight.

Corey Perry is a douchebag.....that was a spear, not a slash. Both him and Lucic highlighted why the current NHL version of discipline isn't getting it done.

The NHL has really screwed up the rule book, because the way it's written right now, no one is going to get called for spearing in the playoffs. A spear is 5 and a game (if the stick makes contact). Hell, if you go to spear someone and miss, it's a double minor. What ref in his right mind has the balls to call that?

A lot of that going around lately ...

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nh ... g/7702227/

...NHL is gutless when it comes to this, a $5k fine is as much a deterrent to a pro athlete as a $5 speeding fine.
