TV Shows: What are you watching?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

On tap, have to unlock the next episode of most excellent True Detective first then I will indulge in the HoC key.

True Detective is intriguing, but awfully predictable.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

My guess on the disconnect between woody and matt.

All pro slut team gets caught alone with matt, though nothing happens because matt ain't that kind o guy, woody goes off the deep end. Later figures out that it was a mistake, but matt has already moved on.

All the evidence pointing at matt is a s circumstantial as the evidence pointing at all the suspects to date........keeps the show rolling, but like House, it is going to get old in a hurry even with all the side drama..

The bust of the meth house was comically bad. For now some the side plots and flashy drama are a nice distraction, but the central plot line needs are becoming more and more laughable.

See what happens tonight......

That show is in a class with few others. Hooks you with the first episode and never lets you off. Some shows get you really interested and then die several episodes in and you keep coming back in hopes that it will return to the same form as its debut.....not so with House of Cards. Every episode just gets better and better.

Well dang, TD ended with a bang, best series so far this year and will probably get all the Emmys, whatever the hell those are.

What's next? Friend recommended Top of the Lake from New Zealand. Watched first episode on Netflix. Weird All Blacks but the little woman says yay to it so we continue to have our weekly good show.

Top of the lake wasn't bad - I didn't watch it all though.

True Detective is da shit. Been a fan of the creator - Nic Pizzolatto and his writing for awhile. His book - Galveston is a great read. A tv show where the opening theme song is a Handsome Family tune, ya know its gonna be better than 99.9% of the shit on the tube. Always been an a fan of that southern gothic crime noir shite . TD is da bomb
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
