Wouldn't this potentially be the third Shoot Out in row versus the Pens?

Fuck, I gave up on watching the shootout (so much so I missed the winning Duck goal the other night because I feared a SO loss). We have to win it now or face the likes of Crosby, Neal, Malkin, Kunitz....

Will say it again, this team is pathetic in protecting a lead.

Vets making mistake after mistake.

Just when I thought they could turn this game around and make a bit of statement game.... they cough it up.

Again.

They pissed away a point, wasted what was a good effort by Kassian, Higgins and Kesler, and drove my frustration meter to heights I haven't seen in a while.

On a positive note, they didn't give the point away to another western team AND I had both Garrison and Malkin in my pool, so I'm 4 pts to the good on that score.

Still, fuck me I could punch something right now. :bang:

I like Torts, and I did think it was time for AV to go last year, but AV's teams did not blow late leads like this. It was time for him to go, but it is amazing how often this team has coughed up 3rd period and very late leads this year, really it's amazing how many points they've given away like this. I think the players may be getting confused about the way to balance the Torts approach of safe is death and keep pushing the play with the need to clamp it down. AV clamped it down, drove us crazy many nights, but his Canucks teams were pretty good at holding leads.
