Happy to see 3 ex-Kelowna Rockets on the team. Benn, Weber and Keith. Also Edler for Sweden. I doubt there's another junior organization can match that.

Hmmm, doubt all you'd like but the London Knights can boast a similar representation.

Tavares, Perry, Nash for Canada and Kane for the States.

And upon further examination Ryan Gardner is playing for the Swiss.

Boy, our LD has taken a big drop with Nieds and Prongs retired and only Duncan Keith returning. It used to be 3 Norris D-men there and now with the likes of Hammer, Vlasic, and JBo, it's a big drop in terms of skill and size. Not sure what else is out there though, Dion? I dunno. RD is pretty impressive with Weber, Doughty and Subban. Our strong side will probably carry the load. Meh, I'm happy for Hammer. I hope he does well and it'd be great to see him and Lou win a gold medal.

Af far as the forwards go, it's a pretty impressive group. Nice mixture of size, speed and skill. There is only 2 guys I would of liked to seen in there. I think I would of taken St. Louis over Duchesne. St. Louis is always a top point producer and the big ice should allow him to excel even more with his speed and skillz. Plus he has way more experience and accomplishments than Duchesne. St. Louis deserves it more me thinks. I would of also liked to seen M. Richards back, the guy knows what it takes to win. Richards and Toews really impressed me in 2010. They can do it all, play physical, check, score. I'd take Richards over Marleu, but I guess Yzerman and Co. felt they needed a winger more. There are a lot of guys who are centres already on the lineup I guess .

As far as goaltending is concerned, it sounds like it's going to be Lou's job to lose. It's early, but I think I'd rather go with Price. We'll see how things go early on, I'm sure Babcock will go with who's hot.

I think the hockey gods will prevail and there will be an injury, iirc if there is an injury or some personal reason where a player can't play 24 hours before the Olympics start they can call up another player to replace him....basically enabling Martin St. Louis to finally make the team! A feel good story heheh.

Sure... eg if there's a friendly before the tournament, Kronwall can push Crosby through the boards to make room for St Louis!

Yeah, we'll see. Stamkos is still a question mark, so that might open a spot. Although we probably don't want to lose one of the best snipers in the game off our roster. Hopefully Marleau or Dushene will get injured and St.Louis gets in. :D

Four goal game by Martin St Louis. Yet he's not on the team, despite the tournament being played on big ice, which means size is not as important as on the narrow NHL rinks. :mex:
