GDT: January 4th - Canucks @ Kings 7pm CBC
And so the big 6 game test begins starting tonight and in the next 12 days vs Kings, Ducks, Pens, Blues, Kings, Ducks. Happy LUUUUU is back!
via-NHL.com: Season series: The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Vancouver Canucks twice in November. Anze Kopitar's overtime goal decided the most-recent, 3-2 in Vancouver on Nov. 25, a game the Kings trailed with less than three minutes to go, and one when they were outshot 39-22.
Big story: Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo will return from a lower-body injury and start the weekend road set against the Kings on Saturday; it continues against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.
"They're a big test for our group on back-to-back nights," Luongo told the Canucks website Friday. "They're divisional opponents, we know how a lot of those games go, they're important games, they're teams that we're going to face in the playoffs probably, or hopefully. Those are games that you want to make sure that you establish something good, in their building especially."

Kings are 1 point ahead of us in the standings, so it's definitely a 4 point night.
They've also lost 5 straight, so we might want to be wary. Hopefully the boys are up for this stretch of games. A good stretch here gets us more breathing room for a playoff spot, a bad one puts us right back into the mix for the right to play Chicago/Anaheim round 1.

It's time for the Canucks to pull up their socks & put in a better effort.
Maybe the switch to Luongo will help the guys focus on the task at hand.

They love Doughty the most. Complimenting him on his hit on Tanev, while the Canucks go the other way on a 3-on-2. No mention of Tanev taking a hit to make a play, but Doughty pinching up on a non-consequential hit that failed to keep the puck in the zone or punish the opponent.rats19 wrote:CBC luvs the kings...atta boy kes

Real solid period of hockey there other than a couple times chasing the Kings around in our zone. Hard to believe they have LA getting17 shots on goal as Vancouver was the better team and had more good chances to score. Then again LA's statisticians are notoriously horrible. They were likely credited with 30 hits in that period .

I don't normally buy into the whole CBC hates the canucks thing but holy shit that 1st intermission was a joke. Heads up Healy, Canucks dominated that period outside of 5 mins.rats19 wrote:Healy is a fucktard.... What a complete idiot..
