GDT: NUCKS VS FLYERS 7:00 PM PST SNT (I think)
WTH end of the 1st and no GDT yet!
Started watching midway through the 1st and it looked like the Canucks were on a perpetual power play until a late breakdown in the D-Zone resulted in a goal against.
Hamhuis looked like the goat on that one, seemed frozen and didn't know what to do.

Why even have a 2nd unit PP they never get on. The 1st unit is again becoming so predictable with no shots on net with a player in front screening the goalie.

Loving the way Frank Corrado looks.

No way that is Hamhuis's fault. The winger has to at least be in the vicinity of Streit on that one. He came in from the point with nobody near him.Knucklehead wrote:

The 2nd goal was all on old Danny Boy though. What a horrific giveaway. Canucks need to bury some fucking chances . They have badly outplayed the Flyers here yet are in a tie game.
Another dead game thread. I guess the piss posse doesn't have anything to cry about so it gets quiet.

The quiet thread could have something to do with holidays and people being busy....

1 part Hamhuis, 1 part Lack.Blob Mckenzie wrote:No way that is Hamhuis's fault. The winger has to at least be in the vicinity of Streit on that one. He came in from the point with nobody near him.Knucklehead wrote:

Based on what I see tonight, I think the Flyers will take the game tonight. Nucks are playing well, but my gut says Philly takes it. Hopefully, we drag it to OT if we are destined to lose however.
P.s. We're within striking distance of the Kings. A win tonight and we're tied with them if I'm not mistaken.
Kings won't even have that many games on hand (like 1, maybe 2?).

Honestly, what could any Canucks fan bitch about with the way the teams playing?Blob Mckenzie wrote:

Strength and depth at all positions....a few more goals sure but they're winning almost every fucking game they play in.
It definitely is looking like the canuck salad days around here

Powerplay?
No thanks. I politely decline.

RD must have committed himself, after that last intermission about the Canucks over-achieving, when Tony G said yes and credited much of it to Gillis' moves and "miracles" with little cap space.
This game should easily be 6-2 right now if the Canucks would just learn how to lift the puck. And really, Giroux was lucky on that tying goal, not too often have we seen Lack look even shaky on a shot that is heading 5-hole. Definitely a goal he would like to have back.
PP finally got some good looks, Flyers doing a good job of blocking shots and the need for another right-handed shot on the left wing side of the net was obvious on that whiff by Hamhuis. Just an awkward play for a lefty on a rebound attempt like that.
