THE BIGGEST NEWS in hockey tonight!
I thought he was yapping at Perron, I didn't even notice Gagne on the ice.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was vs gagne.

Anyways who gives a shit lol, in the end we kicked their ass as we should.

Good play by all the lines, defense and Luongo.

Even dutch gretzky!
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

You almost have to feel bad for Dubnyk. He's barely NHL backup caliber, but he gets to be the starter on the worst team in the league. If he's not shitting the bed and letting the puck go 5-hole on him, the team in front of him is turning it over right in the slot and giving the opponent grade-A looks at the net.....

I don't know how a team can be so bad after that many top 5 draft picks. I wonder how long it will be until Katz finally shows Lowe the door and puts a decent hockey mind at the helm of the organization. I'm willing to bet that the Flames are competitive again before the Oilers get it together.

Tanev was awesome and is having a helluva season.

The shot attempt differential tonight with him on the ice was 25 - 7.

He's been on the ice for over 80 shorthanded minutes this season and the goal differential while he was killing the equivalent of 4 full periods is even, if you can believe it.

I love a woman that talks dirty. 8-)

No problems with tonights game, everything went well.

I think this was Tanev's best game as a Nuck.

So is CBC doing their own version of following a hockey team and they did Canucks? Did I understand that correctly?

Garrison now 5th in league scoring for d-men - the 4 guys ahead of him all averaging between 4-7 minutes more per game.

And Stanton has what like 18 points already?

Our D are playing well. Can't say we really miss Edler although our number 6 spot is very weak. Can't play with 5 D like this for long especially with the fear of an injury to one of them.
The only HW the Canucks need

Which is why if the team decides to deal Edler we'd probably get a top 6 LW and a right side dman.

A few comments;

Hmmmmm, what are the weak spots in the Edmonton line up? Defences and goaltending you say. So an aggressive forecheck will pressure the weak D into turnovers? - All night long.... :)

My gawd is the Oiler D awful, but give the kids credit, for a couple of brief spots in the 2nd period and early in the third, the Oiler forewards out skated the Canucks and generated good chances. Luongo made some great saves, the Canuck defence made some desperation plays (Tanev and Hamuis were notable) and then the Canuck forewards started to trap and bottle up the neutral zone.

Second Vancouver goal was a nail in the Oiler heart, third was the savage beast that cut it out with a machete and ate it raw. There is very little confidence in that lineup.

My gawd is the Oiler D awful, Duby isn't very good, but the Oiler D make him look even worse.

When Luongo's glove is working he is a beast, when it isn't ....... things get panicky.

Can't say I'm a fan of Daniel on the point 4 on 3 (Torts did similar 5 on 3 a few games ago). Even when the feeble shot makes it pinballing through, I'd rather have a real shot on the point.

When Weber was acquired he was sold to the fans as a booming point shot power play specialist ........... does the Emperor have no clothes? When do 5 D burn out?

My gawd is the Oiler D awful.

Can't wait for Sestito to get back so he can play along with the twins. You know, he can be Semenko to their Gretzky or Gino to their Bure. ;)

Classy move by Torts putting the fourthline out for some PP time late in a game already well in hand. No need to run up the score. I wonder if Acton noticed.

Too bad Zach worked his way to the thirdline or he may have gotten some time on the PP. ;)

My gawd is the Oiler D awful.

Kesler hasn't played like this since the last Olympic year.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I say call up Corrado and give him a look.

While most people balk at the notion of playing with 1 thru 5 and a 7th/8th on the blueline, I'd like to point out that 5 of the last 6 Stanley Cup finalists did just that. They had at least one unproven youngster step up to the plate and get it done playing meaningful, albeit limited, minutes. The finalist that didn't do that was us in 2011, we were banged up, but the Canucks blueline was the deepest in the league 1 through 6 that year.....and we know how that turned out.

Sacrificing a bit of depth on the back end is worth it if it means adding punch up front.
