Of course we did.rats19 wrote:Somehow ya just knew..
This team has had limited character and leadership since 2009 despite being an insanely talented team.
No one AT ALL should be surprised with this fucking goal.
Complete fucking bullshit.

It's a character flaw.
San Jose did the same thing to Canucks in the playoffs twice last year (albeit, one of the goals was with about 5 minutes left as opposed to two).

A downer... but overall a good game by the Canucks.
1 Flukey goal.. and 1 cheap penalty .. a tough one to lose..

Canucks need that sniper to get that extra goal to solidify a win..
Anyways just a highlight reel pass by Thornton to Boyle and then a fluke pass to Hertl to tie it.
Shitty call in OT to seal the game, as a 4 on 3 with all that SJ firepower = guaranteed goal.
MG trade for a sniper please, thanks.

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

That wasn't mental fragility TBK. That was all hockey gods and puck luck. Boyle in for a one-timer and totally blows it but the puck goes off the toe of his stick as a perfect pass to Hertl at the side of the net. 9 times out of 10 that kind of screw up is a flutter puck that can't be controlled that fast. The Brown Knight wrote:Anyone besides me NOT surprised that San Jose scored with less than 2 minutes left?

But seeing as you clearly think it is a character flaw, please tell us why you think this way.

Yeah, tough lost tonite. We played great, but got a couple bad breaks in the end and game over. Pretty typical when we play the Sharks. I thought that playing all those pacific teams was a good test for us the past few games. We played quite well against all of them and were right there in all the games, but unfortunately we were not good enuff to find a way to win.
Re: GDT Nov 14 San Jose @ Vancouver - 7:00 PT SN1
The team needs a true finisher. That has been the difference in a few of these recent games against our division. Close games where we carried the play for long stretches but had nothing to show for it.
Maybe a trade to get a guy like Evander Kane would be worth it.
While I think keeping the Sedins was a good re-signing, I also think it was an unfortunate necessity. Almost all of the odd man rushes we got tonight that involved then were shut down by their patience. They try to wait things out too much and because they don't have great speed the outnumbered defenders just have to play a second and a half of good positional defense to allow the forwards to get back.
Kesler has been ineffective on the top line recently because the Sedins haven't been getting the puck to the net, too much cycling and not enough chances at the net. When they throw it back to the point they are often too far away from the blue ice to actually be a threat for a rebound.
Too many of our guys shoot for rebounds too. Niemi is weak up high and has poor rebound control. When the bounces aren't going your way it's smarter to shoot for the corners on him rather than try for rebounds.
This isn't a piss the bed and blow up the team post, this is just stating the obvious.
I would also like to say that the officials need to have their heads checked. The Canucks DOMINATED the Sharks for most of this game, but the Sharks had the edge in PP's.....again. 6-4 was the count, but if you consider the coincidental penalties for roughing and fighting it is 4-2. We certainly earned more than 2 powerplays tonight.

Not urinating, half sack McKenzie. I'm a glass half full dude now thanks to the fine wisdom of Okcanuck. Not gonna piss the floors seeing the Canucks have dropped to 9th place with the 10th placed hot Dallas Stars nipping at our heels, 3 points behind us with 2 games in hand. Okcanuck told me a couple games ago when we were in 6th place to stop being a half glass empty kinda guy. I took to his advice as he seems to know a thing or twoBlob Mckenzie wrote:When does the urine crew arrive ?

I have complete faith in bold moves Gillis, i.e. the trade deadline - Pahlsson and Roy

Was at the game and the shots were in Canucks favour, the play was in Canucks favour but the game was boring. when 99% of the Canuck shots hit Niemi in the logo your not going to win a lot of games.
Sedins to start in the OT played way to long of a shift, 2 minutes, they were out of gas and thus the penalty. They had a chance to get off the ice but decided to go on the attack again, really poor decision on their part.
Booth sucked big time, played horrible, had no speed at all, needs another month down in the minors and who cares if anyone picks him up on waivers.
Canucks need a real 2nd line period, end of story.
Burrows needs to start getting some goals, he is one player who is really under performing.
