Beer: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

A few of my favorite local brews...

Russell Blood Alley Bitter
Driftwood Fat Tug IPA
Howe Sound Rail Nut Brown
Parallel 49 Gypsy Tears Ruby Ale
Central City Imperial IPA

Also, Craft Beer Market finally opened in the Salt Building at Olympic Village. With 140 taps, they apparently have Canada's largest selection of draft beer: http://vancouver.craftbeermarket.ca/

Methods of brewing "Liquid Bread" were developed and refined by monks as a way of maintaining nutrients during times of fasting. This has resulted in some highly regarded beer of religious origin. For example, Trappist beer / Trappist monks.

Last night I drank one of these:

Every time I look out my window, same three dogs looking back at me.
