This leaves/Bruins match looks like it's going to be a beauty, there's fight within the first few minutes already.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Well so far it's been complete domination by the Bruins in every way except the scoreboard but they still have a 1-0 lead after the first. There was a Sedin-like shift where the Bruins spent over 2 minutes with control of the puck in the leaves zone.

Phaneuf does his best casual Kev impersonation and Boston steals it for the empty netter. Raymond is riding the perimeter so hard he's practically in the first row and Chara flattens him anyway. Weird Toronto had a huge advantage in this game as it started at 7pm like its supposed to...

Salo left the same game, helped to the bench by the ref, and did not return.

So the Kings make us look like an AHL team on Saturday and then lost to the Sabres tonight.... :?

Quick left the game tonight in OT with an apparent injury.

Phoenix won again, but Anaheim lost to Florida!

Good night for us I guess.

Interesting to see if Quick is gone for any length of time. Wonder how they feel about the Scrivens for Bernier swap!

Anyone catch the bullshit officiating in Montreal tonight?

Tampa puts the puck into the net through traffic, but it hits the net camera and comes right back out (damned shallower nets). Play continues. At the next stoppage the play is reviewed and the puck is shown to have crossed the line and it should be a good goal. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but that means the goal should stand because there has been no stoppage between the goal and the review, and there have been no other goals scored. However, the referee decides to keep the goal waived off because of incidental contact with Price by a Tampa Bay forward.

I'm pretty sure that goaltender interference CANNOT be the reason for a disallowed goal when a play is reviewed.

So, either the ref saw the goaltender interference and the goal and decided to let it all go and play continue, or he missed it all and is trying to make up for not seeing the goal and also letting the interference penalty go uncalled.

Either way the NHL officials come out looking like a bunch of hacks on this one.

Interfering with a goaltenders ability to make a save does not need to be a penalty and a disallowed goal. It can simply mean a disallowed goal.

For some reason I ignored my list this morning ...... wow.

I can only hope he's shredded his groin or wrecked his knee - you know, one of those Dan Cloutier-esque injuries where he's never the same again and quickly ends up as a goaltending consultant.

And yes, I have no shame in wishing the worst on those who play on Buttman's darling teams - especially when it happens to non-Canadians in an Olympic year.
