The Sharks have officially come apart at the seams tonight. I think I saw Marleau on the ice playing, but you couldn't tell for sure. Niemi was rattled, and I think the Sharks are mailing it in, waiting for another fluke to get interested again.
The Canucks are rolling, to be sure, and are firing on more cylinders than when they faced the Sharks the last coupla times. Having said that, methinks the Sharks are coming back down to earth. Whether that's a matter of Burns being out, Hertl realizing that he is - indeed - playing in the NHL, or the law of averages getting to them dunno and don't care. Kick'em while they're down boys!!!
Santorelli is skating miles out there. That's one thing I've noticed from the 2nd line is all of them are zipping around all over the place. Not much coasting going along.
Kes is due. He's doing just about everything out there but score.

Been saying since 2010....pass and quick shots up high on Niemi. He's almost Hasekesque at taking away the ice and closing the door in close, but his rebound control is average, and he doesn't track the puck as well as many other starters in the league, and once you start lifting the puck on him he's as beatable as anyone because he plays so deep in his net.Jovocop wrote:Niemi looks human after all...

Secondary scoring! Just what the doctor ordered!BurningBeard wrote:When's the last time the Canucks scored 4 goals in a game and the Sedin's didn't register a single point?
It's a rhetorical question, but I bet it's been awhile.

Well up until now.....now they ignore the obvious goaltender interference.Hockey Widow wrote:One of those games with no obvious penalties so it looks the the refs are going to call the marginal shit.
And somehow Boyle doesn't think he tripped Daniel.
The Sharks are such whiners.

Yes they are better. The Brown Knight wrote:Are the Canucks really THAT much better than they were last April/start of this season, or is San Jose just in a slump right now?
Canucks have a lot more room to skate right now than they did earlier in the season.
This isn't the same San Jose team that I saw earlier. Then again.......maybe it's not the same Vancouver team either.
San Jose preys on tentative opponents and lucky bounces. Like most teams they aren't as good when they are aggressively forechecked. That's how we destroyed them in 2011, and its what we hadn't thrown at them since. Tonight the orcas are hungrier than the sharks, and honestly I think our quick answer to that first goal sparked us and deflated them. Our go head goal really hurt them, and when they got it tied up they had some life for a bit, the dagger was our 3rd goal at the end of the 1st.

Another great road game. A well deserved and earned win. Too bad Hank' game scoring streak ended but I'm sure he is fine with that. Tied in points with the Sharks and Yotes. Not too shabby. Two more tough road games coming up and if they play like this we should be able to take them both.
Good to get that monkey off the back. Like how we are trending.

Best line on the ice this game: Higgins-Santorelli-Burrows.
Great to have Burrows back up to speed, in terms of both skating & thinking.

Less Canucks embarrassment please.

Against the Sharks .. the Sedins are the secondary - Burrows line is dominent..Per wrote:Secondary scoring! Just what the doctor ordered!BurningBeard wrote:When's the last time the Canucks scored 4 goals in a game and the Sedin's didn't register a single point?
