Re: Prospects Thread 2013-14
Jersey native Beattie scores in Yale’s win over Princeton in Newark
excerpt:
Sophomore winger Matthew Beattie, who was knocked out of last night’s game after a check from behind by Dennis Robertson, scored his first collegiate goal on a pretty wrist shot just three minutes in. It was the first goal of the weekend scored by a New Jersey native, as the Vancouver Canucks’ draft pick hails from Whitehouse Station, 40 minutes west of “The Rock.”
For Beattie, it was a sweet moment.
“That was cool,” said Beattie. “It was nice coming home. I had a lot of family and friends in the stands.”
It was also Beattie’s first time playing at the Prudential Center, unlike teammate Kenny Agostino, who won state titles in the building during his youth days.

NCAA
Harvard 3 Rensselaer 3 (OT)
McNally did not play
Note: It appears that McNally will miss the first 7 games of the season to make it one full year he sat out due to his plagiarism. I believe this allows him to return Nov 16 against Princeton.
WHL
Medicine Hat 3 Prince Albert 1
Shinkaruk did not play (hip injury)

Re: Prospects Thread 2013-14
Interesting to note that this will allow McNally a full four years of NCAA eligibility - so I guess if he stays through those years he'll be there through the 2015-16 season and turning pro in 2016-17. That is a loooong wait for a prospect drafted in 2010.Southern_Canuck wrote: Harvard 3 Rensselaer 3 (OT)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Nicklas Jensen has been assigned to Utica.

Yeah, I hope his shoulder is fully recovered - the Comets need some scoring, and Jensen needs to get his North American development on track...dbr wrote:Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Nicklas Jensen has been assigned to Utica.

Jensen got an assist on a Frankie Corrado goal in his first game with Utica.

CHL Subway Super Series Nov 18 - 28
OHL Roster
Gaunce and Horvat both on the team
WHL Roster
TBA (I would think that Shinkaruk would be selected if he is recovered from his hip injury)

Looks like Kellan Lain is a pretty decent teammate, in terms of sticking up for other Comets..

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
