GDT Canucks @ STLoius
OK my first try. So no Booth, and no Weise. I heard Archibald and someone else called up. Here is hoping Lack has a good game.
Re: GDT Canucks @ STLoius

Re: GDT Canucks @ STLoius
This is one of those games that has loss written all over it, for variety of reasons. Having said that, this core has come up with some pretty respectable games in past seasons, under similar circumstances.
I want the win, would be mildly satisfied with one point, won't be happy with zero points, but won't be pissed either.
What I really want to see tonight is a high compete level. I want an honest, 100% heart filled effort. Win, lose or draw I want to see this team show up and care, not show up satisfied with their road record thus far and decide to coast back to the coast.
I don't want to see us be complacent, sit back, disinterested, lack of effort no shows who get man handled, out played, out hit, out classed or blown out of the game.
Be in the game, compete, show up and give an honest effort. Be that team and I will be happy.

Re: GDT Canucks @ STLoius
Here's an odd stat:
Vancouver is 2nd in the league in goals for (35)
but
3rd worse in the league in goals against (35)
Gotta love analysing stats after 12 games

Re: GDT Canucks @ STLoius
This could be ugly boys and girls.
The Blues are 5-1-1 (have played a full five fewer games than the Canucks), are healthy and haven’t played since last Friday in Winnipeg.
The Canucks just travelled across the continent from New Jersey, and are finishing up a 7 game road trip where they’ve played six games in 10 days. Oh, they’re also missing a handful of regular forwards.
This is going to be a tough one to say the least. This is one of those few nights where a loss would be acceptable and totally understandable. A loser point would be a significant accomplishment.
Somebody not named Sedin needs to step up. Big time.
I’m looking for Kassian to have a break out game and shut Backes’ mouth for giving him a hard time about going bald.
Edler and Garrison are due for a goal or two.
Lack is playing, and he needs to play very well.
The projected forward lineup is an interesting group to say the least.
Dank-Hank-Kesler
Higgins-Santorelli-Kassian
Sestito-Welsh-Richardson
Archibald-Pelletier-Alberts
No more injuries please.
I’m actually looking forward to seeing Archibald play (OMG two Gillis rookies in the starting lineup!!1!). I think he has some potential to be a decent fourth line player down the road. Good size, good skater, not afraid to drop the mits and has scored a few points at the AHL level.
Pelletier is a 30 year old journeyman who has played 13 NHL games before with Chicago and Boston (zero points). Meh.

Re: GDT Canucks @ STLoius
Great opportunity for Pelletier and Archibald to show something.
They have nothing to lose and could see a lot of icetime if they show something early.
The Canucks have nothing to lose considering the long road trip and injuries.
Canucks need to jump on the over-rested Blues and get the first goal, then play solid defensively.
Actually they're probably gonna need The Stork to stand on his head.
Hoping for yet another ugly win but I wouldn't bet on it.

Drunk Blob is in the house. Just got back from Uncle Barrack's . Fuck are we ever getting screwed on our goods. Probably saved myself 250$ easily on food, gas and kids clothes. Warming up with beers and Caesars . Hoping to mix up some crantinis after that. You've been warned Wiebo

We could sure use the Big Game Hunter with a Bible David 'weird dude' Booth tonight and his deft passing, stick handling and exemplary high IQ visionairy skill set and hockey sense

Torts turns Kesler and Bieksa loose to yap and Kelly has the night of her life.
