[GDT] Oct 24 Vancouver @ New Jersey, 4:00PT SN

Post by Hockey Widow »

So will Cory get a chance to beat his old team in his new barn? Or has his poor start and the fact he has played and lost the last two give Marty the net back? Do we care?

Will we see Brent ( I know his named isn't Brent) Sauve emerge as a huge power forward tonight. Will this cap move bring dividends and will he play more than 42 seconds? Will David come out with fire in his belly and show the Dude he can or will be treated to more of RD's I told you so rants?

This is a should win 2 pointer here. Will the team be prepared to play a full 60 Tort's type game and walk away as they should.

I say they come out fully prepared and score early and often. I just won't predict which they I am referring too. I am covering all bases so I can say I told you so later.

*Edit*

Well some things we know. Both Cory and Lou to start, billed the Jersey Shores rematch.

Alberts scheduled to start at forward again. So why the Sauve call up? I mean if he doesn't even dress for the game. Burrows great practice but will not dress. Booth obviously back in the line up.

Injury news on JS not good, likely gone long term, talking more than 2 months here. Still no word on Hansen.

Which of our teams shows up tonight? Team energy & defensive discipline varied wildly the last three games.

Sauve/Alberts, WTF? I'll believe it when I see it.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

Brodeur watches from the bench while the two goalies who have taken the #1 job from him hit the ice.

Hmmmm, it turns out that Ginger is not good for you...

Hahaha - a bad taste in the mouth...

What say you, Gillis?
It's a great day for hockey!

hmm interesting .. Devils at the bottom of the League., Canucks in top half ( just barely)
Schneider playing for a team that can't score goals. ( had that experience last year too :) )
Luongo not red hot.. Canucks tired.. Devils desperate..
Devils over Canucks.. Schneider plays lights out goal..
2 to 1 .. :)

Not looking like a goaltenders duel
Luongo lets in first shot against him
Scheinder lets in 2nd shot against him

Luongo didn't have much chance against either goal. Schneider, well...

Down 2-1, & the score flatters our skaters. Lets see if Torts can motivate.

Another lazily played game. Not impressed with this road trip so far.

So Dale is injured and will not return and Davey is not on the bench, no word on why. Canucks down to nine forwards and seven D men with Alberts having had thus far three shifts.

No question MG and Gillman we need to work some cap magic and get some forwards on this team.
