2011..... the one that got away.
Re: Hansen Extended: 4 Years, $10M
Sounds like Tort's like's Santo's play thus far, he seems like a solid 3rd line center, Richardson also played well there in scrimmages, but will in all likelihood solidify the 4th line for now.Jovocop wrote:If one of the trio (Santorelli, Dalpe, or Richardson) can centre the third line, it would be a pretty good checking line with some scoring capability.
Dalpe might get a chance to play with Booth and Kesler with his versatility, he could be a steal of a trade if he manages to stick with the team.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

As happy as this signing as I was with Burr.
Re: Hansen Extended: 4 Years, $10M
Great contract Gillis and co. Hard not to think Hansen has left money on the table, but with a new family he put a high priority on security. And he has that now!
Hansen is an important piece to this team and I'm glad he's with us for another 4 years.

We could all hope the rest of the team would work as hard as Hanson does game in and game out.
Re: Hansen Extended: 4 Years, $10M
Every year Hansen's stats improve.. and he is a good playoff performer . Other than Kesler and Burrows he is the best 2 way player on the team. A good signing

Yes Hansen really lights it up in the post season. 14 points in 58 games.

I love how 0.2ppg Jannik Hansen can be considered a good playoff performer, and the Sedins (nearly ppg playoff players since 08/09, 103 points in 109 games combined over that span) can be considered "not to be that good in the real season - the playoffs" by the same poster.

The whole team is not a playoff performer...
I love every move Jim Benning makes
Re: Hansen Extended: 4 Years, $10M
I was hoping for a 5yr contract at the same $10 million, but this makes me happy.Island Nucklehead wrote:http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=433036The Vancouver Canucks have signed right wing Jannik Hansen to a four-year extension worth $10 million.
His new deal carries an annual average value of $2.5 million.
I still think he could have gotten over $3 mil per season on the open market. Glad he didn't
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Great signing for a great third-line winger. And I'm totally fine with him never being more than that, because he won't.
