According to TSN, Letting Raymond go will come back to haunt us. 2 goals in 2 games, and MayRay is the next coming of Pavel Bure.....
Only preseason.
Only a matter of time till he goes back to skating full speed up the ice, do a loop, shoot puck at goalie's chest or lose puck while falling down numerous times.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

What about the other 29 teams that failed to offer him a contract?
He's actually a perfect fit for the Leafs, early season success and then we'll lose sight of the whole team once the 50 game mark hits.

He was one of the reasons why I hate(d) the Hawks. Now, he just gives me one more reason to hate the Leafs.

Flyers sign Matt Read to four-year, $14.5 million extension
Matt Read was approaching the 2013-14 season knowing it was the final year of his first NHL deal. Talk about his future was something he tried to avoid this summer, with his mind focused on getting ready for the season.
Well, just days into training camp, Read won't have to worry about his status with the Philadelphia Flyers after this year. On Friday, he signed a four-year, $14.5 million extension with the team. He'll have a $3.625 cap hit.

Is Brad Boyes bad because he was in the same position?
The Edmonton Oilers announced Sunday morning that Sam Gagner will be out indefinitely after suffering a broken jaw in preseason play against Vancouver on Saturday night. Gagner suffered the injury on a high stick from Canucks’ forward Zack Kassian.
