You'd really rank Hodgson, today, 4th amongst those players?
No probably not, but he is being the biggest pain in the ass.

And you'd have to wonder where he fits in if they do sign Grabovski. Grigs is going to be a stud and probably their top line centre sooner or later, Grabs is not a third line centre and neither is CoHo.

As of today if they sign Grabby?

1. Ennis
2. Grabovski
3. Ott
4. Porter

Not looking good for Holdout Hodgson...
Seriously? Grabovski is better then CoHo, but, Ennis?? And to rank Coho behind Ott and Porter is a complete joke. I don't know what the kid is asking for, but CoHo is worth easily as much as Ennis or Ott, even with a D-bag for a father. Heck, GMMG should throw out a $2.5 mil offer :)
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

No.

But then as they say "Truest things are said in jest". :D

Any two of Grigorenko, Grabovski, Ennis are just as capable of holding down the top two centre positions

(just as capable as any two of Grigorenko, Ennis, Hodgson).

Ott is definitely a better 3rd line centre than Hodgson.

Porter is a better 4th line centre than Hodgson.

You get the idea...

And hey, ALL of those guys are able to slide over to the wing if needs-be!

ALL except for Cody Hodgson of course.

Hodgson is a top 2 centre or bust kinda guy who doesn't have a clue how to play defense.

Like most who played in the AHL during the lockout, Cody got off to a great start in the shortened season.

But halfway through that 48 game season Silent G wilted like a pussy-willow at high-tide

(not sure if that makes any sense, but I liked the way it sounded). :P

All Hodgson has proven so far is that he can put up points if he is given a head-start

... along with prime ice-time on a don't-worry-about-defense line of Vanek + Pomminville.

I read that Ruff also tried to get Ehrhoff on the ice with that line as much as possible...

Result after one month: Hodgson at close to a point-per-game clip, Ruff fired. :mex:

Anyway, point is the Sabres can nicely get by without Holdout Hodgson, especially if they sign Grabby.

Point is Cody + Mommy + Daddy don't have as strong a bargaining position as they would no-doubt like to think.

Both Kass and Silent G still have promise. The team needs now, as well as then, a 3rd line centre and Silent G wasn't going to be it, nor would he be now. The team needs a top six winger with size and aggression who can pot some goals. Kass hasn't quite been that yet but there's no reason to believe that he can't at some point soon. No winners of this trade yet IMO.

Besides, what GM wants to deal with Lindros family-lite??? :D

Colby Armstrong (Montreal) seems to have signed with Växjö Lakers of the SHL.

Well said Lancer.

FUN FACT:

Hogdson in last 16 NHL games at even strength: 1 goal, 3 assists (minus 5)

Kassian in last 16 NHL games at even strength: 2 goals, 1 assist (minus 1)

QUESTION:

What has Holdout Hodgson done LATELY?

:D

Fuck me, is this what the off-season is boiling down to, conversations about CoHo vs Kassian? I'd rather hear stories about Clark Park in it's glory days. Grandview Lanes.

Grandview Lanes!

We'd terrorize the place as kids when we were too lazy to walk downtown.

They later turned it into a chinese movie theatre.

Then as teens we hung at City Nights.

They later turned it into a chinese movie theatre. :eh:

Our chinese friends were more or less confined to Strathcona back in the day

... but it seems they began to invade other areas as time went on.

Ahhh the dog-days of summer eh, this place is deader than a you-know-wot in Clark Park after sundown (back in the day).

Back on topic: CODY HODGSON SUCKS RICE NOODLES!!

So Blake Wheeler is now making $5.6M per for 6 years and Bogosian is at $6M per for 6 years. Oh and Brian Little averages $4.7M per year.

The current Canucks salaries just look better and better!

No arbitration for Bogo - 7 years 36 Million.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I thought TSN had it as a six year term earlier. That's a bit better for the Jets.
