It's the signing of Canuck retreads (considering how much they're hated) that's a bit laughable. I thought the Flames would have learned after Bertuzzi.
Then again, we're in the same thread talking about Iggy, so maybe I'll zip it.
Bertuzzi and Iginla are not really comparable. Bertuzzi never carried his team, he shared the load with Naslund, and once they were separated neither of them were ever the same. Jarome carried his team for years. Signing a back trouble laden, post Moore incident, Bertuzzi, and Mason Raymond, is hardly the same as thinking about the possibility of signing Iggy.

After the comments he made on the way out, I'm not sure he's going to be a good fit anywhere in the NHL. Talk about burning your bridges.
I don't know about that. He's got a point. Grabovski is NOT a 4th line center. No way, no how. He's not a 3rd line center if that line is supposed to be a checking line. It's not the first time there have been rumblings about Carlyle not being a "players kind of guy" coach. If he wasn't happy with Grabovski's play and he didn't ever talk to the guy about it, then benching him is pretty useless, from what I understand Grabovski got the silent treatment from Carlyle.
It's also no secret that when a Russian hockey player goes off and talks to the media when he's in an emotional state it gets ugly.....and the only thing that rivals a disaster like that is am Italian French-Canadian.
Russian players who seem to lose their shit in the press are often painted with an even stickier brush than other players because they don't articulate very well in English. They are also hockey players and the first words they learn when they get here are: Fuck(ing), Skate, Motherfucker, Shit, Bitch, and Ass. They hear words like, pussy, hit, and defense, a lot too, but they never figure them out.
