I wonder if the Isles are really this low on Niederreiter, or if they just have a hard on for clusterfuck.. even if they had to move Nino you'd think they could have found a taker. A team like Calgary with three first rounders and maybe two or three decent forward prospects..
Yeah the 3rd wasn't in the initial reports.
So Clutterbuck + 3rd... FOR... Niederreiter.
I heard Clutterbuck is good pals with Tavares, so that probably played into it as well.
I hear mix reviews on Niederreiter and he may not be all that. I think this is a good move by the Isles as they seem ready to make a push in the playoffs and Clutterbuck is a good piece for that. They still have elite level prospects in Strome and Reinhart to add to the mix. The deal makes sense for the Isles.

Well more like... close to $40mil.
Am I the only one wondering how Pigtown is gonna sign all their RFAs under the cap, let alone pending UFA Bozo?
Jesus Christ…and people seriously think Luongo’s contract is ridiculous?
The leaves are in tough. They have $15M in cap space and need to re-sign / replace as many as 8 RFAs in addition to UFAs Bozak, MacArthur, Kostka and O’Byrne. RFAs Kadri and Bernier are going to be seeking big raises.
The talking heads are already talking about Grabovski, who last year re-signed a $27.5M contract extension, being bought out.
I remember the time one of his handles suggested Lecavalier's #4 would be retired league wide after he retired. Hell, Ballard's #4 will be retired before Lecavalier's is
