Canucks Take Subban at #115

Post by tantalum »

Little brother of PK. Quite Literally. Kid is 5'9". If he grows he could be a tremendous pick but if he doesn't he'll be a career AHL D-man.

#55 NA skater. Highly skilled but as mentioned also small. 51pts in 61 games from the blueline for Belleville

Yeah, he seems a wee runt-like at this point to predict a future career as an NHL defenceman. But he's an intriguing prospect just by his name alone.

Hopefully he's a lot more than Steve Kariya to PK's Paul.

To say the kid's a project is an understatement...

Still, nice to see the Canucks swing for the fences with a pick.

Especially with a defenseman, five or so years down the line I don't think a blueline full of Tanevs and Corrados is going to cut it.

If Subban can grow two inches he'll probably be an NHL player. If he can do that and iron out some of the kinks to his game he will be.

If he can deliver on his potential he might be the best defenseman we've produced since Edler.

Isn't Krug 5'9"? He certainly didn't play like it in the playoffs from what I saw. At least there's some upside here.

Personally I'm prejudiced.

EDIT: Prejudiced against short hockey players!

If he isn't successful at hockey he can always become a jockey.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
