The pre-draft buzz continues in NYC with the #Canucks reportedly testing the Schneider trade market if they can't move Luongo. #pndraft

Darren Dreger
It's getting interesting. 2 sources say Corey Schneider is in play. 1st and a prospect part of asking price. Suspect Oilers in on talks.

Hmmm.. maybe not.

But if it turns out to be hogwash would you agree to a little shock therapy? :mex:

BTW Gillis denied the rumour, said many teams are calling about Schneids though.

I'm on record as preferring to trade Schneids, but Luongo has made it clear he wants out.

I have also suggested AV might have been a big part of why Lou wanted out.

I hope I was right.

Gillis would still hafta smooth things over with Gina though, not sure it can be done.

WAY too soon to be putting any stock in this rumour....

She's just uppity now. Her family owns a little pizza place where she was a waitress I believe.

I swear man Thais is why divorce is sooo much better.

Here I got this multi million dollar gold plated deal here that will set your pops up in pizza for the rest of his life and his grand kids. All you gotta do is be a wife and hold up your end and we're golden...

But no not good enough, gotta run home and sulk about not having mommy around to help with the diapers...

Smith deal almost done? According to numerous reports 6 years at 5.7-6 million per.

With Buffalo saying Miller would be back at least for the start of the year there are fewer good goalies out there for teams serious about a serious long term upgrade. Since I never saw Luongo going to Phoenix it doesn't lessen the teams that may be almost.

BOTH these rumours trending right now:

@DarrenDreger:
Bobrovsky being offered to teams by the Blue Jackets. Told he wants $6 mil per. Columbus in market for a goalie.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Blue Jackets very close on a new deal with goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.

Both may be true. Depends on which sheet gets signed first: trade sheet or contract sheet.

Stay tuned...

Call me crazy, I'm really going out on a limb here, both Scneider and Luongo will be Canuck property well into July , even August, fuck it I'm predicting September.

Fucking hilarious watching dregs of broadcasting wind down the rumours he started yesterday.

:hmmm:

As I said in this thread yesterday:

Strangelove wrote:I'm on record as preferring to trade Schneids, but Luongo has made it clear he wants out.

I have also suggested AV might have been a big part of why Lou wanted out.

I hope I was right.

But then I also said this yesterday:

Strangelove wrote:Although one never knows if perhaps it's really something like this...

The moon is being offered for Schneids.

Lou agrees to stay one more year before being bought out (compliance-style).

If by then a Lack-Eriksson combo seems unfeasible, another 1a/1b type goalie will be brought in.

Given all we know about Lou's personal reasons for wanting out, can't see him staying+happy unless^.

And today I'm asking: What if a Luongo-Markstrom trade is next? :mex:

Yes, and you also said:

Strangelove wrote:
$lacker wrote:The longer this plays out with Luongo, the more likely it seems to me a buyout is possible

The ONLY reason to buyout Luongo would be to avoid the future Recapture penalty.

And I agree with the majority who say that's not a big deal.

It's silly to say "the longer this plays out... " because the best time to trade him hasn't happened yet

(best time since it became obvious he wants out).

The best time to trade him thus far will be between 48-hours-after-season-ended until the draft.

As an elite goaltender, Luongo has a lot of value in that window... considering the market (scroll up).

And will you rookies PLEASE stop posting that Schneids goes instead of Luongo!

Lu has made it clear that he wants to go East.

Gillis has made it clear he is going to trade Lu.

So yeah.... just stop. :hmmm:

How does that contradict what I said about Schneids AND Luongo getting traded? Image

I know you THINK I have a problem saying I'm wrong so I'm gonna prove you wrong now.

I was wrrrrrr.... ahem... okay I was wrrrrrrrrrr....

Oh fuck off rookie, no one predicted this.....
