LOL.

I just hope ole Tortszilla doesn't try to make it all about him with the shenanigans behind the bench. The guy shoulda been a rock star or an actor or something. :)

LOL at some schmuck trying to troll the Great Strangelove!
As soon as Doc announces his departure all the carrion crows begin to peck at his corpse.

I should add Todd to my throne of skulls but I'm worried about the amount of reading required. That cat is really special.

Yeah he kinda reminds me of Alice Cooper.

How long do you think he'll be able to maintain his Mr Nice Guy routine?

The beauty of it is you don't have to read his posts because he prefaces them with such idiocy!

LOL that response took him a few days....

Okay I couldn't resist.

I went back and actually read his post because hey it's my thread and I'm a fair man.
Todd Bersnoozi wrote: Anyways, I mentioned this point before. We are all human, whether it be the "hacks" with their biases or a GM of a hockey club. Why do ppl smoke when they know it's bad for their health and it has a good chance it will kill them? Why do some women stay in abusive relationships when they could just walk away? Why do some ppl commit crimes when they know sooner or late it's going to catch up to them? Humans are fallen creatures and they do things sometimes that are unpredictable and don't make a lot of sense.

Todd Bersnoozi wrote: Maybe [Gillis] fears he'll never get a GM job again if he leves Vancouver.
Not sure why he'd worry about that since he's signed for FOUR MORE YEARS.

Firing Gillis at this point would equate to a MASSIVE BUYOUT

(and you're one of those "Aquaman won't do buyout" morons aren't you... Todd).

Gillis would most certainly be handed another GM job or he would retire having made at least $40mil from Aquaman alone.

How much do you figure a guy like Gillis pulls in.... Todd.

Five years as Canuck GM thus far plus four more years on his contract....

And let's see he was one of the most successful NHL player agents ever.

How many millions do you think he made widdat.... Todd.

LOL @ "Gillis fears being fired"!

The guy could buy his own franchise at this point if he wanted to!

Well a team like the Islanders at least.
Todd Bersnoozi wrote: Like alot of things, when there are two extreme views on a position, the answer probably lies somewhere in between.
So lemmee get this straight....

If someone says YOU are a steaming pile of poo...

and YOU say you are a human being...

the answer would lie somewhere in between?? :eh:

Todd Bersnoozi wrote: Essentially, that's why Nonis got fired am i right? He wouldn't pull his pants down and bend over on landing Brad Richards, so he gets canned.
Riiiiiiiiight No Nuts Nonis wouldn't bend but Gillis would!
Todd Bersnoozi wrote: Sorry man, u lose.
So the Great Strangelove lost to YOU in a battle of wits... Todd?

I swear Mëds, the first time I merely scanned it at hyperspeed.

I usually ignore the guy's short posts, so WHY would I read his long posts?

.... then I remembered it's my thread and felt an obligation (see above).

I gotta admit Doc, I actually love it when a guy like Berssnoozi attempts a go at you with some online character assassination. I read it, then skim down wondering how you'll respond. Always amusing.

Then we wait for a week or so while he thinks up some "clever" reply.

Gets me all nostalgic. I used to love the way it could be all out war with shots firing across somebody's bow on almost every page of every thread of every forum.....well up until that group of thin skinned White Noise crybabies showed up and got a certain napoleonic someone's (who will remain unnamed) panties in a knot and turned him against us.....but still, it was a riot back then, just to wade haphazardly into the fray with some of you fine folk.....even if I was just one of those young and inexperienced punks that piss Topper off. I miss the old days, now I find myself having trouble even giving a shit when it comes to some of the back and forth and I've even taken to following Top's lead and using the ignore feature with ass hats like RD.

I swear, you're the only one left from the old board who still puts the effort into making this entertaining.

So I raise my glass to you and say cheers. :drink:

thought u might bring it up Lil Napoleon, but I was super busy the last few days, so I didn't have time to write a proper response. Something u wouldn't know about cuz some ppl have to work and are not trolls all day. I was tempted to just leave it, but I figured I couldn't resist getting a shot in. Also with the press conference being the last couple days this thread was pretty active, so I thought I'd wait a lil till the dust settled a bit. :P

Ain't fucking happening. It shouldn't take rocket science to figure that out, Donny, Barry.

The only way to get more grit out of this lineup is for the Players Agent to get off his bold moves,'lazy ass and find it via trade or with much improved drafting and developing
I agree

Doug McLean has been consistantly slamming Torts for years.

Nothing new, he has an irrational hatred for the man....

Strangely like, "unorthodox way of showing it", or strangely like "I'm glad there's no windows in that van"... ?
