Okay well rather than get dragged into a humourless discussion about the meaning of "generating offense" I'll just point out that you could claim that "offense" is "generated" when the puck leaves the stick of the player who scores... usually pretty damned close to the net and well inside the opposition's blueline.

This came up last night on HF. Nope... playoff games don't count.Eddy Punch Clock wrote:There is only three games left... but interesting question.Jovocop wrote:Would the Canucks burn a year of Corrado's entry level contract if he plays 4 regular season games + 2 playoffs games? I am not sure whether the 5 games rule applies to playoffs or not.

If Corrado keeps playing the way that he did last night, he should be ahead of Barker and/or Alberts.Eddy Punch Clock wrote:This came up last night on HF. How long before BoringDude throws him under the bus and blames AVMG for ruining the kids young career for rushing him?Jovocop wrote:If Corrado keeps playing the way that he did last night, he should be ahead of Barker and/or Alberts.Eddy Punch Clock wrote:This came up last night on HF. Why would anyone be throwing him under the bus? He had a decent first nhl game in my books. Better than I expected actually...

I think Ballard just saw his career as a Canuck come to an end last night.
Corrado - 6'-2"
Ballard - 5'-11"
Corrado - Excellent Skater
Ballard - Excellent Skater
Corrado RIGHT HANDED
Ballard left handed
Corrado CHEAP!
Ballard EXPENSIVE!

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

LOL... maybe check with Bobby Orr? Offence was generated every time the puck got on his stick.. no matter which zonedbr wrote:Okay well rather than get dragged into a humourless discussion about the meaning of "generating offense" I'll just point out that you could claim that "offense" is "generated" when the puck leaves the stick of the player who scores... usually pretty damned close to the net and well inside the opposition's blueline.

Hey how did I get brought into this, I have always said AV does not give young players a chance.Topper wrote:3 weeks after Reef
Again why is Corrado even playing? because of injuries, if they didn't have any he would not even be given a chance regardless if there was 1 game left or 30. Division wrapped up or not.

So kinda like Dank's goal last night (smile).FAN wrote: That depends. Would you consider a stretch pass from own blueline that results in a breakaway goal or pass from neutral zone that results in a scoring chance and goal "offense generated inside the opposition's blueline?"
Re: Canucks News and Notes
Barker sure, but "those watching" probably noticed that Alberts was even better then Corrado last night. Perhaps the best run of games we have seen from Alberts.Jovocop wrote:
