Would Vandermeer have to clear waivers again to be sent back down to Chicago if one of Tanev or Bieksa are ready to return before the playoffs start?

Jason Botchford @botchford
Inj updates: Higgins is skating. Booth got his boot off. Bieksa flown home for re-evaluation. Tanev not expected back for start of playoffs.
Jason Botchford @botchford
AV swears on the life of his daughters Bieksa's inj is not a groin injury
Higgins should be ready before playoffs
Booth might be ready for late round 1 or early round 2 of playoffs
Tanev is done for the regular season
Bieksa might be done as well
The Canucks might have a healthy lineup as early as round 2, if they make it that far.
Daniel Henrik Burrows
Raymond Kesler Hansen
Higgins Roy Booth
Weise Lapierre Kassian
Edler Bieksa
Hamhuis Garrison
Ballard Tanev
Schneider
Luongo
That is a pretty good lineup.

Patterson article:
Pending UFA Right-handed defensemen
Jeff Paterson April 18, 2013 11:01am PST
With the Canucks heading into tonight’s game in Dallas with a six-pack of lefties on the back-end, I have come up with a list of right-handed defensemen on expiring NHL contracts. Now not all players will make it to the open market this summer as some will re-sign with their current teams. For the purposes of this argument, I decided to look for players between the ages of 26-32 — guys with varying degrees of NHL experience. Anyone on this list pique your interest? These players are listed in no particular order. There are simply guys who shoot the puck differently than any of the six blueliners the Canucks will send out into action tonight. That’s all.
Ben Lovejoy (29), Anaheim…9 assists, +3 in 27 games with Ducks this season
Matt Gilroy (28), NY Rangers…Canucks had interest when he signed out of Boston University
Ryan O’Byrne (28), Toronto…BC boy from Victoria
Peter Harrold (29), NJ Devils…former Boston College teammate of Cory Schneider
Kurtis Foster (31), Philadelphia…familiar with West (former Wild, Oiler, Duck)
Steve Eminger (29), NY Rangers…12th overall pick in 2002
Nolan Yonkman (32), Florida…played junior in Kelowna
Ian White (28), Detroit…career-high 32 pts with Wings last season, trouble cracking their line-up this year
Tyson Strachan (28), Florida…former BCHL Vernon Viper
Anton Babchuck (28), Calgary…had 27 pts with Flames 2 years ago, has played 4 games for Flames this season
Looks like a bunch of plumbers...maybe Gilroy? Harrold? I don't know...

With likelihood of Andrew Alberts moving on this summer, the blueline could use a hulking presence in the 5-6-7 spot.
Assuming Ballard is bought out:
Hamhuis Bieksa
Edler Tanev
Garrison O'Byrne
Andersson
Corrado
Polasek
Gillis will need to sign or trade for another depth d-man with the lack of experience down the ranks.

I don't care how much they pay these guys, judging by the way they have played this year that should be
Garrison - Tanev
Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - O'Byrne

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing Alberts back for another two years. His physicallity is at times really noticeable and he has the right mindset. Not a guy whose going to complain if he ends up sitting out.

Yeah, I have to agree, he has been managed well, he plays it simple with the limited hockey talent he has, not fancy risky shit that KB2 KB4 & 23 do...
AA is a big mean fuck when he has to be in front of the net (dare I say stay@homer?!) and we are so desperately in need of that in the playoffs (we miss you Wille

).

Read that Corrado is coming up with the rest of the Wolves refugees and will likely dress against the Blackcocks on Monday.
Baptism by fire or what

Reading that too, but nothing confirmed. So, does these call ups count against the yearly limit? I'd assume not, bcs they only had a few left. Maybe Barker does stay in with the Ballard tweak.

Ya, I heard Corrado has been told to be ready for a call up. I suspect this has to do with whether Ballard can go or not on Monday. The earliest the Canucks can call everybody up is after their last game Saturday against the Oilers.
Now that the Wolves have been eliminated I would suspect that once the Canucks can expand their roster we will see a lot of guys get called up, unfortunately I don't think we see many before then. It would be nice to see 3-4 of them get some games in before the playoffs but we don't have the cap space.
But heading into the playoffs I suspect we see quite an expanded roster with some valuable depth in case of injuries.
The only HW the Canucks need
