I like it mostly, no more Minnesota for us and it sucks ballz for Boston.
I'll miss Detroit but welcome back Winterpeg.

Re: Meet the pacific division
I like that they are changing it up. It really isn't fair to the Eastern teams, so I presume they'll have to change that up (expansion anyone?). I'd prefer the Canucks be in a division like this in which there will have to be 2-3 teams that are legitimately good. The Northwest division has made the team too comfortable.BingoTough wrote:http://thecanuckway.com/2013/03/07/nhlp ... -division/

Re: Meet the pacific division
Hey, we'd be second in our division right now!
Only two points up on LA and SJ though.

Re: Meet the pacific division
With Detroit now in the east, the NHL will have no reason to care about what happens out west.
They should have done this years ago - maybe the lower travel costs next year will result lower ticket prices?

Well I don't like it
Means I have to go ChiTown for my games now and not Motown or Columbus.
Fuck, I hate those people, assholes, the lot of them.
Great City though

You can still catch one game per year in Detroit or Columbus. Even Buffalo.Arachnid wrote: Means I have to go ChiTown for my games now and not Motown or Columbus.
Isn't the point of this so that every team plays each other twice per year? Once in each others building?

Re: Meet the pacific division
I lie that we play every team in the league in a back to back. We miss seeing some pretty amazing talent under the current system. I would like them to change the All Star format to the winning team wins the home start in the SC finals, like baseball does. Put some meaning in that game too. No more President's trophy since the Conferences are so unbalanced anyway.
I feel sorry for Colorado. They move into a shit storm of a division. Winnipeg will get a chance to build some rivalries in their new division.
Of course the Florida teams are pissed. Their north/south travel just made their schedule a lot worse.
Our rivalries don't really change.

The only HW the Canucks need
Re: Meet the pacific division
Nope. No matter what division we play in, the Vancouver vs. Officials rivalry isn't going anywhere.Hockey Widow wrote: Our rivalries don't really change.

Re: Meet the pacific division
They're kind of like us: screwed anyway because of their out their location. The only thing that might be an improvement over their current situation is if they made a southern division of Dallas, St Louis, Nashville, Carolina, Florida and Tampa, but that would be bad time zone wise.Hockey Widow wrote:Of course the Florida teams are pissed. At least they have each other. It would be like us having Seattle in our division.herb wrote:They're kind of like us: screwed anyway because of their out their location.Hockey Widow wrote:Of course the Florida teams are pissed. Their north/south travel just made their schedule a lot worse.
