One season does not make a player, he could sheet the bed next year and be nothing.

He certainly will never be "Nothing".

Jim Carey (Vezina Trophy winner) is calling.

Jim will have to wait, as Jonathan Cheechoo (56-goal Rocket Richard winner) is on the other line.

According to the above article, Carey is No. 3 and Cheechoo is No. 2. Believe it or not, the winner is actually Jimmy Carson. Personally, I think both Carey and Cheechoo are better choices than Carson.

The number 4 spot goes to Scott Bjugstad, the uncle of Nick. Hmm... interesting.

I'm pretty sure that was misspeak or a typo, clearly meant AHL goaltending...

If Roberto is going to Toronto, Burke will pay a nice price.

Alexander Daigle envies the blubber-chewer Cheechoo.

Oh boy, the leaves are 5th in a shitty conference halfway through a shortened season. BigTuna's getting his rainbow fanny pack ready for the parade down Yonge street.

I still go back to the alleged offer from Toronto of Kadri and Bozak.

I think a decent prospect (like Kadri was heading into the season) and a 3rd liner (like he would be here) like Bozak.

Or a good solid 4-5 defenceman with a decent prospect.

At this point though I have no idea what they will get back though.

The leaves usually start badly and heart up in February. last season was the first time they got off to a good start.

This link is done. There is no way Gillis will trade Luo right now so why dare to dream. We have a superstar goalie and the rest of the league knows we're in trouble. Don't make a rash trade we will regret. Time to suck it up and realize these guys are no way near good enough.
