Why is Kassian dropped to the 4th line?

Also as well; I am fed up with his Napoleonic attitude with regards to shootouts, off season remarks and player favouritisms. (SP?). This is a short season. I really like Gillis. I hope he could jump behind the bench! That would be cool. Doubt it would be worse!

Also; if I may add another point to my rant; I really would like to know why Raymond is not our third
line center. He is not a heavy winger that can pick up pucks along the boards or has a great shot.
He does however have an amazing ability to backcheck and be all over the ice; which is highly valued
especially as a third line center. Since Manny Mo is out maybe he could teach MayRay the incidentals
with regards to face-offs, especially considering that he is still on the payroll.

Kassian looked good playing with the Sedins but overall the Sedins werent producing. As soon as Burrows goes back alongside them they take off...hhmmmmm..
As soon as Kasian is moved away from the Sedins he stops producing..hhmmm.....
Maybe Kasian looked good because of the Sedin's ?????
Maybe Kasian wasnt the Canucks best forward the first 10 games or so ??...
Remember Jason King, Anson Carter, Taylor Pyatt, Trent Klatt ? All players who looked great alongside the twins but move them away and production fell. I like Kasian and think he could be a solid top 6 guy but people were way too fast to proclaim him our best forward. The think he needs the most is to play hard every game. Its consistency and at this level you need it or you dont play a top 6/top 4 role.

I've been pretty disappointed with Kassian since his big start with the twins. He's a work in progress but he strikes me as a lazy player.

I have a real hard time figuring him out. He goes from a force the first 10 games and now hes invisible.

It's a mistake to take the average inexperienced rookie player and expect that he can jump in on the top line.rats19 wrote:lazy or not sure what to do? he looks a little bit lost at times.Rumsfeld wrote:I've been pretty disappointed with Kassian since his big start with the twins. He needs to work his way up the depth chart, just like the others did

Remembering the Cgy game there were times when Kassian made promising plays and intelligent moves out there which got me hoping he'd keep it going and then... nothing, or the play would die on his stick.
He's out of his groove, the rest of the opposition has caught up to his early-season form, and he's playing linemate roulette. Honestly, if he can just put in a good 3rd line effort for a whole game and create some chances, it could be something off of which he can build.
Having said all that, I do see progress.
