The Hansen elbow wasn't even intentional and is about one one hundredth as bad as what the Honky Tonk man did to Daniel last season. I hope Hossa comes back For game 3 of the playoffs after they're down 2 games.
Schroeder looks overwhelmed tonight, but then so does most of the team. The Hawks look really fucking good.

Yeah, but probably not gonna happen tho.....
Canucks have no edge, no shooters, only one real setup man, stupid defensemen, a coach who could turn Crosby and Ovechkin into 60 point players, all this on the shoulders of a pair of goaltenders who get hung out to dry on a regular basis.
No doubt that UW is right, the team is a well oiled neutral zone machine. But they chase teams like Chicago all over the place on defense, can't organize themselves on a PP, take low percentage shots......gimme a break. Good teams we consistent. They don't continually blow leads and take 20 minutes off on a nightly basis.

Was it just me or did that penalty to Daniel look almost exactly like Toews on Kesler where they called coincidentals....
Re: Van at Chicago - 5:30 PT on SNET-P and 1040
I really wish this team would quit looking for the little short side redirections and start trying to shoot for the corners. The Canucks are soooooo predictable on offense now.

It's just one game, but we're gonna need an upgrade up front to beat these queers in the playoffs. Once Gillis finds a home for Bobby we'll be all good.

Don't fool yourself. This isn't just a problem up front. It's systemic. Team needs a shakeup. A different approach to the game.Rumsfeld wrote:It's just one game, but we're gonna need an upgrade up front to beat these queers in the playoffs. Once Gillis finds a home for Bobby we'll be all good.

What's the deal with Garrison
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

I think our system is excellent, we very rarely give up odd-man rushes like we are tonight.Mëds wrote:Don't fool yourself. This isn't just a problem up front. It's systemic. Team needs a shakeup. The problem, against teams like Chi and San Jose, is that we aren't skilled enough. The Sedins are less of a force than they used to be and our supporting cast needs more high-end finish. We're just a forward or two away from being as stacked a team as there is in the league, and we have the tradeable asset to make that happen.

And Edler bombs away from the point, not looking to direct, not from a bad angle, and bang. Goal.
But too little too late I'm afraid.
