Am I wrong but only lidstrom and forsberg have rings on that list?
Tomas Sandstrom - Detroit - has one.

Yes, you are. Tomas Sandström won the cup with the Red Wings in '97.

But you're right in the respect that many of the better Swedes in the NHL have wasted their careers on crappy teams. :(

Sundin and Salming in Toronto... And Thomas Steen played 14 seasons for the Jets. What did that get him?
A seat on the city council of Elmwood/east Kildonan...

How about the greats, Hakan Loob and the orignal Mats and Naslund with a ring each?

I know they're not on the list, but that's only because they didn't play as many NHL games.

We're off on a tangent now; I just thought I'd mention that both Dan and Hank are now in the top ten in NHL scoring for Swedish players.

Anyway, a total of 27 Swedes have won Lord Stanley's Cup. Anders Kallur, Stefan Persson, Niklas Lidström and Tomas Holmström top the list with four rings each. Hopefully we can add Daniel, Henrik and Edler before too long.

Anders Kallur 4
Nicklas Lidström 4
Stefan Persson 4
Tomas Holmström 4
Peter Forsberg 2
Tomas Jonsson 2
Tommy Albelin 2
Ulf Samuelsson 2
Willy Lindström 2
Anders Eriksson 1
Andreas Lilja 1
Fredrik Modin 1
Fredrik Olausson 1
Henrik Zetterberg 1
Håkan Loob 1
Johan Franzén 1
Kent Nilsson 1
Kjell Dahlin 1
Kjell Samuelsson 1
Mats Hallin 1
Mats Näslund 1
Mikael Samuelsson 1
Niclas Wallin 1
Niklas Kronwall 1
Samuel Påhlsson 1
Tomas Sandström 1
Niclas Hjalmarsson 1

Now that Henrik has broken Naslund's record do we un-retire the number 19?

No doubt they'll reach 1000 points.

But more important, will they be the first two Canucks to hoist Lord Stanley???

Sure. But not if you asked that question ten years ago. You would have been ridiculed  and shamed

I knew they'd be good, but I would never have thought that both of them would win Art Ross.
That's just plain weird. I still have a hard time believing that. Even after it happened.

You don't remember one of the troglodytes from Bountiful who guaranteed Hank wouldn't be top five in scoring and the Canucks would lose the division?

Promised to eat his pubes if he was wrong. Never did. Pauser offered to eat them in his stead, but his e-mails were ignored.
