Gaunce's assist was the best play out of all his points.

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
You can see why Subban got 1st star over Gaunce, Subban created more scoring chances.
Gaunce looks to have the knack for those greasy goals. The ones to be found in the dirty area around the net.
At 6-2 & 215, lets hope he can be strong enough to do that in the NHL.

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
My buddy over in Sweden, who is a huge AIK fan, tells me he's been only OK and absolutely not ready for the NHL. He's a pretty avid fan and take it for what it's worth I suppose but those aren't dominant numbers by any stretch of the imagination. He was on fire out of the gate(can't remember his numbers) but has slowed considerably since.BladesofSteel wrote:Hey S_C, how is Jensen making out oversees?
I would think he's headed to the farm next year to learn more and maybe the year after will get some games in with the big club. Rushing young players who aren't ready doesn't do anything for their development and remember, he is only 19 (or so) and too much shouldn't be expected of him yet.

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
Given the fact he's a 19 year old playing against men for the first time on the big ice in the SEL, following two seasons of OHL, I'll give him the botd.Uncle dans leg wrote:My buddy over in Sweden, who is a huge AIK fan, tells me he's been only OK and absolutely not ready for the NHL. There is never a need to rush prospects, particularly with this veteran laden club. Still, 15 goals isn't paltry for a rookie in what is typically not known as a high scoring league. The points will come as he's got the skills, it's the team game he needs to learn.
Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
I read on HF that Jensen is getting benched and missing shifts for calling out teammates for poor effort and performance. Sounds like he's being used as a 13th forward. Can anyone confirm this? Per?
Mr. Canucklehead
It's mostly hearsay at this point, but he apparently had some choice words for his teammates - including his goaltender- aftera couple of one-sided losses that haven'tgone over well. The perception is that he has a bit of an attitude.
Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
Ryan Murphy has also been called up to the Hurricanes. Corrado will likely be given even more minutes and responsibility as Murphy plays 25-30 mins each night.

Be good to see him with the Wolves for a stretch drive.
