Puzzling. Why would he leave BU? Most BCHL'ers would kill to get a scholarship there. So he'll end up in Kalamazoo or where? Does anyone know if a WHL team owns his rights? McNally out and now this.....figure it out GMMG!Southern_Canuck wrote:
Wesley Myron (BU) - Wow, he has left university to turn pro, and is expected to sign with Kalamazoo (ECHL)...!
This is unexpected - I don't know if this will turn out to be a great choice for him.

A little more about the Wes Myron (6th round 2012) departure from Boston University:
Boston Hockey Blog
excerpt:
Myron’s sudden exit comes less than two months after forward Yasin Cissé left the team in favor of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Parker cited similar reasons as to why the two left — unhappiness with ice time and expectations to play on the top lines — but only spoke in generalities when it came to why certain players feel entitled to more playing time without previous production.
“Most kids work for their ice time and if they don’t like their role they try to make it a different role,” Parker said. “Some kids can’t face that adversity. I don’t know if it was exactly the same with these two kids [Myron and Cissé] or not, but it is what it is.”

Thanks S_C.
So basically he didn't want to work for ice time? What a spoiled brat.....
I wonder if his Uncle is Silent G's Pops? Wonder if it's the coach?
Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
Sounds like the coach doesn't know. He could have said pretty much anything about them if he was going to follow it up with I don't know if that's the case here'..

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
A switch in position and a new offensive mindset has Brendan Gaunce on a roll as of late.
It has been an up-and-down season for Gaunce, after a slow start it looked like things were turning around before an injury derailed the Belleville Bulls captain for nearly a month. However, after shaking off the rust once returning from injury, Gaunce has been on a torrid scoring pace since the Christmas break.
..Already known as one of the top defensive forwards in the league, the Canucks 2012 first-round selection wanted to add a little more offense to his game and he has done just that. In 13 games since the break, Gaunce has grabbed 17 points (9-8-17), is a plus-12 and has been named First Star of the game on four occasions.

Less Canucks embarrassment please.

Twas a good night for the frenchies. Nice to see Sauve get his offense on, give him a little confidence. I suspect Mallet and Grenier will be with the AHL club next season... wherever it may be.

Would it not be good if this kid Gaunce turned into the next Joel Otto? Some offense, great on D, pk and so on?
BTW.Prediction coming: Mallet will be in the NHL in two years. Kid has got it and will learn as he has at every level.
