I think this is to show case Luongo, if he plays well tonight his value does go up for teams in the hunt for a goalie. I have no other explanation for the turn around in who is playing in net for the Canucks after what they have said and done over the past 6 months.

This game should be good if the Canucks show up and start playing from the moment the whistle blows, if the D play like they did a few games ago the game will be over in the first period. Time for Edler to step up and start earning his new contract.

turn around?
Gillis has consistently said that Luongo was a star player who he was not going to give away and and a player that he would be happy to keep until the right offer came along. That being said Luongo is an asset and he is playing well, why wouldn't AV go with it?

News flash, there is a goalie tandem in Vancouver

I think Luongo is getting the start because he performed well (got a shutout and everything) in his last game and there's no back to back situation.

Probably not much more to it than that.

Was it Keith who was caught on camera last year sarcastically telling Kassian "well you've been a great addition"?

Yeah, I hope Kassian has a great game.

I also hope our forecheckers key in on Keith. Revenge is a dish best served cold, often and with punishing bodychecks.

lol yup, Chitown is healthy and is on fire = a good ass whoopin' on this Canucks team that is playing 4th line centers sans Hank, I bet Luongo falters a bit so Schneider gets next game vs Coilers.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Should be interesting. Although I do not really like our chances, the Canucks should get up for this one.

In a perfect world the Sedins would dominate the game. But the Hawks are deep, and without Kesler it's gonna be tough to match up against Toews-Hossa and then Bolland-Kane. The "D" will be tested big time.

Gotta feel (kinda...sorta... not really) for Jamal Mayers... Kassian's a bit tougher than Kevin Bieksa. He might be in for an ass-beating. If it does get out of hand the Canucks have more punch-facers.
