I totally agree about pushing belief structures but prayer is not a religious rite, its a human act and since almost everyone believes in it, prayer most definitely should be in schools there just shouldn't be any directive as to who or what you pray too or about.
if time every day was set aside to acknowledge that there are greater mysteries in life than ones own problems the world would definitely be a better place.
