Not only a good signing but a popular one too! Very pleased that Burr will be back and we now have him locked up for 5 years. Of course he can be traded for one more year before his NTC kicks in.

And for those that think MG was thinking one of Burrows or Doan, he wasn't and isn't.

With the CBA expiring midnight EST tomorrow I guess we have around 35 hours to see what else comes down the pipe. Of course who knows if the contract has to be signed sealed and delivered during business hours or not.

Yes, I just heard that all contracts must be signed and delivered to NY Head office by 5PM EST, or 2PM PST. The league requires one day to approve all contracts.

MG currently working on Edler to see if they can get a deal done in the next 20 minutes. I am hearing they are close on most issues but money is still a big gap.

On Doan, he is waiting until the last possible second to sign in Phoenix.

Very stoked about this deal. Burrows definitely deserves the 4.5 and I have no problem at all with the NTC. Happy we have him for another 5 years.

That said, definitely interested to see what else comes down the line in the next 18+/- minutes.

Yeah, great signing, considering we low-balled him last time. He likes being here and was a Nuck his whole career, he deserves it. Doan would of been nice as he was the type of guy we need, but Burr signed for less and is in the prime of his career (unlike Doan who looks like he may take a dip anytime soon).

Now that is 4.5 million dollars well spent. Wish I could say the same for David Booth. I wouldn't complain if Booth was actually earning what he deserved, like Burrows last contract. But such isn't the case here.

Pretty sure everyone will be happy for Burrows on this one, totally well deserved!
Guy has come so far and is really a quality 2-way player...plus, he knows where his bread is buttered.
